Alright! Hubs and I were enjoying a day without baby as we're both on Spring Break this week so I'm just now getting on to lurky loo and post pictures!
I honestly can't remember when all of these pictures were taken, but I'll try to guess.
Here we have our first pictures together at the hospital, sleeping on Daddy's shoulder, and our first documented smile.
She was a scheduled c-section at 41 weeks. I was measuring around 56 weeks and my doctor had no faith that I'd even go into labor. We were also moving in 3 weeks from Seattle, WA to Orlando, FL. I opted for the easy route which totally threw my natural-labor-at-home birth plan out the window. (I'm actually just now fine with my decision, I had major guilt about it) I had gone in for my weekly check up, was at 0 cm -4 station. She just wasn't ready, but was measuring around 9 lbs. We started talking about our options for my 42 week checkup and I off-handedly said, "I'd rather just have her today" and my doctor was like, "We can get you scheduled for 8 tonight!"
My husband and I weighed our options and decided that we'd rather have a low-risk planned surgery than what could possibly be an emergency c-section. In the end, it was what was best for us and my recovery was a breeze.
Keira Quinn arrived at 8:52 pm on July 31 weighing 8 lbs 13 oz. and was 19.75 inches long.
She is beautiful! Love her "scorn" face. What does she do lately to bust your chops?
Oh goodness, she wags her fingers and will say "No no no" when she doesn't want you to do something. I'm not sure where she learned it from, but it's super cute.
