I go walking at a park on Sunday mornings. Mister runs, and I walk. Not fast but just try and get out for some sun and light exercise. My boss saw me and came up and said hello, and asked if I was allowed to be out exercising. My boss is a marathoner. I would assume serious runners keep up with their running to a certain degree whilst pg. So why would she think my exercising was so weird?
Re: "Are you allowed to be doing that?"
I don't understand why people continue to think pregnant women are disabled. There is enough information out there stating that we are perfectly capable of doing just about anything within reason.
BFP#3 10/29/13! Beta#1 at 4w5d - 2141, beta#2 at 5w1d - 7651! U/S 11/21/13 showed baby measuring 2 days ahead with a heartbeat of 127 bmp!
I really hope that's not an actual prerequisite. I can't walk up 2 flights of stairs or dance for more than 5 minutes without getting winded.

I had to sit for a couple if minutes. Lol. But I did waddle for an hour.
Don't worry, its not a prerequisite! I hardly exercised at all when I was pregnant with DS (I'm not exactly proud of that) and was out of breath walking up one flight of stairs. After pushing for four hours during labor, the doc told me I had a lot of stamina and asked me if I worked out. I think my response was laughter.
I keep telling myself I'll get on an exercise routine this time, but the exhaustion just isn't going away.
I have a very active 21 month old and I carry him, pick him up, go to gymnastics, I exercise regularly, and I work full time. No one ever thinks I should lift anything so funny at work I have a chair in my office (it weighs no more then 7lbs). Well I lifted it and dragged it to the other office I was going in. I think 3 co-workers yelled at me. I said "really my son weighs 35lbs give me a break over a 7lb chair
My response: "Probably not, but no one is stopping me :P"
"Are you allowed to be doing that?"
"Yes, and you're allowed to mind your own business. "
Just misinformed..
I'd rather have a fit, healthy pregnancy and feel good and have a speedy L&D and recovery than sit around and do nothing! It also helps that my OB is a firm supporter of women exercising during their pregnancies.
