Hard Bladder/Pelvic Area and slight pain in abdomen

Hi ladies,
TTTC (2+ years --> PCOS). Taking 100mg Clomid (just finished 2nd round) + Metformin for regular cycles. Based on my last few cycles, Aunt Flo should be visiting in a few days and impatiently waiting to take a pregnancy test.

Anyway - last night my bladder/pelvic area was pretty tight/hard. It also hurt during intercourse, but it was gone by the time I woke up this morning. I also had a some slight pain in my abdomen - front sides. Thoughts? Could it be early signs of pregnancy?

Hey, sorry for your trouble conceiving.

No matter what websites tell you, early pregnancy symptoms = PMS symptoms. Both PCOS and fertility drugs can amplify PMS symptoms.

The only way to know for sure if you're pregnant is a quantitative HCG blood test. 

Home pregnancy test is the next best thing. Take one.

@calindi Thank you! Yes, I saw that online as well. My fertility doctor actually called me last week to check on me. She's the one who told me to expect my menstrual cycle around Tuesday-ish. If I don't get my period within the next week, to come in and check for cysts. My doctor also said that clomid & metformin can develop cysts. YIKES!!!

@calindi Yes, she's a reproductive endocrinologist. We did do an ultrasound at our last appointment about a month ago. I also took a blood test a month ago to see if I ovulated, which I did not. So she upped my clomid dose from 50 to 100mg. So her call was to follow up on that.

Rather than doing a test to see if I ovulated, she wants me to take a pregnancy test first since my cycle is expected to start tomorrow. If nothing, then to take another next week in case tomorrow is too soon. If nothing, then ultrasound. ??

Most REs do an US to determine when you are ovulating, not just the progesterone level to see if you ovulated. The progesterone level is only useful if you know when you ovulated, too soon or too late and it can be inaccurate. I think that's where the confusion is regarding monitoring. I'm its pretty unusual for an RE to increase your dose of clomid and not follow up with an US to see if it's working.

Good luck on your testing! If this isn't your cycle, I would probably ask about monitoring to see if the I creased clomid is working for you next cycle.
