I'm looking to buy some hemp inserts for our GNHW to add to a small prefold. The brands I'm reading most about are hemp babies, joeybunz, thirsties, and geffen baby. Which are the best and most absorbant? Which would you recommend of these or are there others? I'm probably looking to buy 6 so the price of geffen babies seemed good but I don't want to sacrifice quality.

They need to be tri-folded, but I have cut and sewed around the edges to make three smaller ones as well, depending on what you need.
EDIT: https://www.caterpillarbaby.com/amp-3-layer-hemp-boosters.html
if you want a booster instead... but it's cheaper to cut and sew the big one
Thirsties: It works, but as far as hemp goes it's pretty thick so if I'm looking for a trim doubler I wouldn't use these. I sold them.
BabyKicks JoeyBunz: I loved these forever. Great quality, trim, and absorbent. Then I found Geffen Baby.
Geffen Baby: Rules. Trim and crazy absorbent. Bonus points: Made in the US, if you're into that. Pay attention to the sizing: I got the High Absorbers first and they're tiny. They do make a great doubler, though. I then got the Quick Absorbers Plus. These are a normal length insert and are seriously trim. They're "quick" absorbers so you can use them alone without a faster absorbing material on top, but they're so trim that alone in a pocket diaper they would bunch up and yes, we would get leaks. So, I still pair them with a newborn MF insert on top and have the best of both worlds, trim, absorbent, and no bunching.
I agree with @chickypoo that there is a difference between the jersey and fleece. The Quick Absorbers Plus are the jersey and those will absorb more quickly, and I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think the Super Absorbers Plus are the fleece, so they'll hold a ton but absorb a bit more slowly. I think you could add either the Quick Plus or Super Plus under a prefold at night without it being too bulky, so there's my vote.
@chickypoo I haven't tried the Super Plus so if you've got some of those on the way I'd be eagerly awaiting your review!
