Cloth Diapering

Gardening

DS helped me in the garden today. By helping, I mean that he threw dirt out of the raised beds by the fistful as fast as he could, followed by my onion sets and row markers. Fun. Anyway, during his next diaper change I just about died laughing. It looked like he had totally sharted an chocolate graham cracker b/c there was so much dirt stuck to his butt cheeks.

Re: Gardening

  • I was going to be all jealous because we don't touch our garden until May, but then I got a good laugh from it. :)

  • Haha! And this is why I'm buying cheap diapers in solids cuz if he is anything like his daddy when he gets a little bigger he will be coming in the house covered in grease or dirt.

  • So cute!!

I don't get to plant anything until May, either. :( I really wanted to play out in the garden today, it was so sunny and like 50 degrees! :)

  • We did some gardening today. O really likes to "help", too, so today we gave him a decoy garden (aka box of dirt with a few weeds tossed in) so he could "plant his seeds". We made a big deal about that being his garden vs mommy's garden... Worked like a charm! For now at least.

  • I posted the pic of the weather here yesterday.  If I'm lucky I'll be able to plant a garden in July.
Last year I started some seeds inside in April to get a head start... but even that seems futile at this point.

    :(

It sounds like your LO had so much fun! I can't wait to take DD out into the garden again!

  • I started mowing our lawn a couple of weeks ago and doing a little selective weeding and pruning. Also planted a pygmy water lily in a container that tends to fill up with rainwater.

I love gardening. It's one of the most therapeutic activities I know. It's a big reason why I lobbied to leave Edmonton. DH loved his job there but the <100 days of growing season was just stifling.
  • It snowed here yesterday morning.

    P.S. You all suck.

ETA and dh is now texting me about awful snow and ice sheets and crap.

I hate snow. So much. So I feel for you.

    But...

I'm in Seattle. We've had two days of sun in a row... In March. That never happens. It will probably rain from tomorrow to the 5th of July. So I will put on my shorts in this 50 degree weather, let my body soak in as much sun as I can, and laugh at everyone who, for once, has crappier weather than we do!

    I'm a B like that I guess ;-) .

  • That's so cute! I wish I could garden already, but the ground will probably be frozen until may here!
