1st Trimester

Ugh, I think i have the stomach bug

I think DS gave me his stomach bug. I thought yesterday, I was getting MS, but after vomitting and a few trips to the bathroom, i think it is a bug. I guess maybe i should feel better that this wont last the next six weeks, but it sucks. it is hard to get rehydrated or even get off the couch.

any advice for staying hydrated when you cant keep anything down?

  • Pineapple juice is good if you can keep liquids down, plus it's really good for nausea. Other than that, I would say stick to bland stuff. I hope you feel better!

  • I JUST got over this… took me a good 5 days and actually I still am feeling a little off. I called my Dr Wed AM cause I was so concerned i was dehydrating.  I couldn't even keep water down. My Dr.'s advice was just Gatorade and try to nibble on some crackers or toast.  I was able to keep the Gatorade down in small sips.  Just keep trying to stay hydrated and rest rest rest!

    Thanks everyone. I am beginning to feel better 48 hours later. Gatorade and coke have helped. i need to get back to taking my prenatals, and I am fianlly able to drink regular water.
