Re: What up for the weekend ladies? (And gentleman)

  • I just had my husbands brother and his two kids over for dinner. He had the kids all weekend because his wife had a bunch of showers and things to do so he needed something to do with the kids. I made a ton of homeade pizzas. Yummmmm.

My son started soccer so we had a game this morning but tomorrow's just got cancelled. I'm not sad about that because now I get to sleep-in.

Tomorrow will be laundry day then I'm going to make a pot of vegi chilli. I guess it's a food weekend for me.

  • Happy Birthday @kindershlitz

As for me, we were supposed to go camping this weekend but had some equipment malfunctions. Add that to the fact that there were some spring breakers making noise and we couldn't sleep, we gave up, packed it up and headed home at 3 in the morning. Slept late and did pretty much nothing Saturday. Today hubby and I hit the gym, cleaned the house and went to go see Divergent. Now we're relaxing on the couch watching tv. Love the weekend!

I'm an MSU alum so go Sparty. Even Obama picked them lol!
  • @MamaBear904 I love camping. But we have a small camper now so we retired our tent.

How was Divergent. I read all the books and am dying to see the movie.

We were going to buy  camping van next summer.  Instead, we're spending that money on maybe getting pregnant.  Some day. I'm getting too old to sleep in a tent.  I at least need an air mattress or my back goes nuts.
Me too. Our air mattress wasn't holding air, so after 45 minutes our butts were on the floor and my back was killing me. It was awful. We used to have a popup camper and loved it. We sold it when we bought our current house and are already looking at possibly replacing it

  • We started with tents, then got o popup. Last year we got a hybrid. It has popout beds but has a regular inside with kitchen and bathroom. I loooove it. I call it my hotel on wheels.

  • DW, the girls and I spent to weekend in Aberdeen. DW had a job interview up there, which means if she gets the job, we'll be moving in August and we'll finally have a house instead of a flat (since it's so much cheaper there). If we do go up there, and we get pregnant, I'm thinking about becoming a stay-at-home dad. But we spent the rest of the day at the beach, and then on Sunday went to Dunnottar Castle, which was lovely, though some idiot had a labrador puppy on a very tight spiral staircase which was not on a leash, and it almost knocked DD over.

bummer on having to quit your weekend getaway :( Sounds like a good weekend anyway!

I have not been camping in sooooo long. Although the last time i went (probably about 4 years ago it was desert camping, So no tent. just a tarp on the ground and a sleeping bag. We went rock climbing and it was so so so fun!
