Cecilia has started to hit us in the face when she gets upset. If we stop her from doing something she wants to do, if she wants something that we won't give to her, and yesterday when I picked her up from school she hit me in the face with both hands when I picked her up from the playground. It's not random flailing, she intentionally goes for our face. I have been gabbing her hands (to stop the hitting) and telling her not to hit and that she has to touch mommy nice. Is anyone else dealing with this? I know that kids hit, I guess what surprised me is that she specifically goes for our faces. I'm concerned that she will start hitting her teachers and classmates.
Re: Hitting (in the face)
No idea on a solution other than not rewarding the behavior.
