New to 3T, being hopeful

So here I am almost 30 years old and DH is 29, and I didn't think I would be a part of this group. DH and I have been married for over 5 years and for the past 2.5 years we have been TTC.
My last appt with OB/GYN was last year and we went through all the testing of why you weren't able to FWP naturally. Which we came to a problem of me having a uterine polyp, after the removal she put me on clomid and I've been on it now for 7 months and nothing has happened. My next step as of right now is F/U with OB/GYN and calling a IF doctor. It's just so frustrating because I put all my effort into trying to have a child and after getting AF every month makes me cry and get upset. Which it's hard to go thru it alone and DH trys as hard as he can to comfort me, but there is only so much he can do and my friends as nice as they are unfortunately are not in the same boat as myself and don't understand. I'm just hoping that it will get easier, being hopeful.

    U/S 9/26: One healthy baby! Measuring 1 day ahead and a FHR of 119 @ 6W4D (EDD May 18)
    U/S 10/26 (first OBGYN visit): Measuring 1 day behind and a FHR of 160 @ 8 weeks. Looks like an upside-down Teddy Graham!

    Also, during your Clomid cycles were you doing TI or IUI? And did you have monitoring including ultrasounds? If you didn't have monitoring it is possible that you didn't respond to the Clomid or it may have thinned out your lining.

    I highly recommend seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist. There is a reason why there is extra training beyond OB/GYN required to become an RE. Wishing you the best of luck going forward.


    All of this. I would definitely make an appointment with a Reproductive Endocrinologist! They are so much more knowledgeable than OBs when it comes to the science of reproduction.

    Me (35) no known issues DH (37) MFI. TTC 21 months (24 cycles)
    Dx MFI with low to normal count, low motility, morphology 3%
    HSG normal, ultrasound and labs on me all normal. 

    1 cycle of Clomid 50mg and TI, unmonitored by OBGYN= BFN
    1 cycle of Clomid 50mg and IUI, unmonitored by OBGYN= BFN
    Started seeing an RE!!
    2 more cycles of clomid 50mg (great response), with IUI and Pregnyl trigger (4.8-8 mil good ones after wash) = all BFN
    1 cycle of clomid 50mg (3-7) followed by Follistim 75iu (7-11) + IUI = BFN
    December 2013 DH saw urologist and is taking Anastrozole, CoQ10, and L-Carnitine
    IUI #5 natural cycle (needed a med break) = BFN
    IUI #6 Follistim 75iu (CD3-10) + Pregnyl (CD11) + IUI (final count after wash 300K) = BFN
    IUI #7 Follistim 75iu (CD3-9) + Pregnyl (CD11) + IUI on 2/20 (post wash count 12.5 million)= BFN
    IUI cancelled (DH OOT) Clomid 50mg (CD3-7) 1 follicle +(not well timed) TI = BFN
    IUI #8 and last one!! Clomid 100mg (CD3-7) +OPK before US + IUI 4/17 (post wash 8.5 mil)= BFN

    Pre-IVF testing complete! SHG great and measurements taken! Labs for infectious diseases completed, FSH (5.4), TSH (1.6), Prolactin (11), AMH (2.6), Estradiol (40).

    Started BCP 5/29 and Lupron 6/11 prep for IVF #1! Started follistim 225u/day on 6/28. Monitoring on 7/2 >15 follicles measuring 11-14, E2 758. Monitoring on 7/5 all ready to go!! Great follicle sizes and lining is at 9. Tigger 7/5, ER 7/7 16R 9M 3F. Stimmed too fast in just 7 days. 7/10 3dt of 2 8-cell grade 2 & 4. 7/14 P4 >60.
    Holy crap BFP!!!
    Beta #1 (14dpo) 7/21 112 Beta #2 (16dpo) 7/23 286 a Beta #3 (18dpo) 7/25 761 Beta #4 (21dpo) 2631!!! Hold on tight little embies!!      First Ultrasound 8/7- 1 perfect little bean with a beating heart 117bpm!! EDD 3/30.
    Second ultrasound 9/2 Little bean measuring a few days ahead with a heart rate of 161!

    Good luck.  Definitely recommend an RE.

    DH: 34  
    Aug 2013 - SA: Counts & Motility = great, Morph = 1%; RE didn't seem too concerned

    Me: 26
    Jan. 2014 - Blood work ordered by obgyn:  Prolactin = high & AMH = low (0.73)
    Feb. 6, 2014 - Repeat blood work ordered by obgyn:  Prolactin = normal & AMH = low (0.9)
    Feb.  20, 2014 - First appointment with RE
    Feb. 24, 2014 - HSG scheduled;  DX:  one tube definitely open & one tube could be blocked
    Mar. 7, 2014 - CD 21 Blood work for Progesterone; DX:  Progesterone level at 5.2; shows I ovulated but was low
    Mar. 28, 2014 - Laparoscopy; DX:  Tubes open.  Found some endometriosis and had that removed.
     
    History:
    Started TTC:  June 2012
    June 2012 - March 2013:  When it Happens/it happens method = BFN
    March 2013:  Started using Fertility Friend
    Cycles 1 - 15 with Fertility Friend = BFN
    Cycle 16 - Benched due to Laparoscopy
    Cycle 17 - Natural Cycle = BFN
    Cycle 18 - Natural Cycle = BFN
    Cycle 19 - Natural Cycle = BFN
     

    Current Cycle:
    Cycle 20 = Natural Cycle

    Welcome to our little club.  As PP's have said, I'd definitely look into a RE. 
    Married on October 20, 2012.  Began trying in January 2013.
    RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis
    IUI#1- March 22 (100mg clomid, 75 mg of Bravelle, Ovidrel trigger) = BFP!!!

    IVF #1- November- Antagonist protocol: 11/1: start stims, 200iu of Follistim; 11/12 ER 17R/14M/14F; 11/17 5 day transfer of two blasts, 2 blasts and 2 expanding morulas frozen; 11/22 BFP!! (On FRER at 5dp5dt)
    Betas: 9dp5dt 205, 11dp5dt 497, 14dp5dt 1,709
    u/s at 5w0d- 1 sac; u/s at 6w0d 1 baby with heartbeat, another sac without a heartbeat

    Thanks everyone for the welcome.

    Yes, DH and I had all the blood and testing and everything came back normal.
    For the Clomid, after the first round I did have blood test and that's when my OB upped my dose.
    But I did not have any other testing since then and that was back September 2013.

    I recently saw a RE, which he did an ultrasound and found a good egg, which he wants to see me in a couple days. Which hopefully from there I become pregnant, but I'm just going to take it one day at a time right now, because I know all of you have tried so hard if not harder to have a baby and I wish us all the best.

    Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

    We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013. 

    11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good. 

    12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

    12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

    So I just got a call from the RE's office and stated about insurance will pay for testing and not IVF or IUI, which I assumed before I called them myself a week ago. But they want me to take an MRI because my prolactin levels are high, should I be scared?

    @atallyn‌ I had to have an MRI for elevated prolactin also. My levels were over 100. The suspicion with elevated prolactin is a benign tumor on the pituitary gland. I was very scared at first. The good news is, even if you do have it, they are very rarely cancerous, and they rarely require surgery. There are medications you can take that shrink your tumor. The good news is, it sounds like you are ovulating, so if you have one at all it is probably very small and your prolactin levels probably aren't that elevated. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Welcome and best of luck! We all share in your frustration of not getting pregnant, month after month, despite our most valiant efforts. You will fit in here well, but I hope your stay her is short! I also second the comments about seeing an RE, which is sounds like you are seeing now. If you are on IF meds, you really want to be monitored closely. Also, DH probably should get an SA just to know where his numbers are.

    Welcome!  The women of this board are great support for each other.  For me, nothing has helped to save my sanity more than these awesome ladies would understand.

    IUI #3 April - CD3 U/S 4-10. Letrozole, Follistim, Ovidrel CD11 - Cancelled.. TI w/5 follicles-BFN
    IUI #3.1 May - CD3 U/S 5-6, Follistim start 5-11 thru 5-17, u/s 5-18 3 mature w/ a close 4th, IUI 5-20 - BFP!
                 Beta #1 12dpo - 164 & progesterone - 89!, Beta #2 16 dpo - 1189, 5w3d - u/s shows TWINS!
                 6/19- u/s showed heartbeats! Baby A 111 & Baby B 118, both measuring 6w1d

    Well I have some great news, I'm no longer TTC I am now 7 weeks and 2 days. I'm glad my visit was short and wish all the best to the rest of you. You are all in my prayers especially yesterday being Mother's Day how hard it is for some of us to get pregnant. Good Luck Everyone.
