Moving to different state @35weeks

Hello ladies. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience moving so far that late in pregnancy before and if you have any advice on what I should bring in the car with me. We are driving from North Carolina to Southern Florida. We haven't bought anything for the baby yet because we knew we would be moving. Should we buy the car seat before we move? Thanks in advance.

The car seat and a couple outfits to take baby home on would probably be a really good idea.

We moved cross country when I was 35 weeks pregnant and on modified bed rest. We made sure that we had the car seat with us, a hospital bag packed, a pack n play, and a couple newborn outfits and diapers in case baby decided to make an early arrival while traveling to our destination or before we moved and got settled into our new house. 

I would also suggest possibly getting a copy of your OB records and keeping that in the car.

I just found out I'm going to be moving out of state at 37 weeks as opposed to 29-30 as originally planned. It's a scary thought, but luckily we should be able to start moving things a little bit at a time in the weeks leading up and hopefully just be left with the big furniture at that point. Fingers crossed we don't go into labor early.

I agree with everything PPs have said. I would have everything I would need if baby came during the move.

Yay for CG moves we are moving from CA to NJ when I'm 33-34 weeks. We are bringing the infant car seat but that's it as I figure even if baby comes early they will need to be in the NICU and Dh will still need to go report so I would have time to get anything else I need.

We are moving in a few days (9 hour drive). I have basic necessities- car seat, diapers, clothes... but my home moves with me so the other thing I would add is try not to stress out and be positive

I couldn't imagine moving across the country in the next 2 months, but you ladies are amazing and will make it werq! I am seriously impressed!!

My husband and I are moving from Kentucky to the Tampa area at 33 weeks! I'm going to have my prenatal records with me, the car seat, and a pack n play. Good luck to all the other moving mommas!
