  • That's pretty much every night.  I go from the bed to the recliner and am up half the night.  GL to you.

  • Toss and turn. I also have a glass of milk every night right before bed. It seems to help a lot. Especially when it is washing down the half BP & fluff I have with it.

  • I got the big U shaped pillow! It's great! I still have insomnia though...but I'm more comfortable than before the pillow that's for sure!!

I must have read that wrong... When it started out with "I rub my belly and thank my ancestors" I thought she was trying to be funny.

ETA: I laughed when she said "I pee walking past the baby's room." I pictured a pregnant woman waddling and peeing while passing the baby's room.

Like I said, it's highly possible I'm irritable after 10 hours of sleep in 2 days.

No judgement here. I'm not sleeping either! I just pictured a pregnant woman peeing on the floor and it made me laugh. Although maybe she's supposed to be serene? I'm so tired my eyes are watery and burning. So I may not be reading it right either.

  • @Read247 how did I only just notice we have the same EDD?

Are you mobile? I'm bumping mobile so I can't see tickers. I probably noticed early on (in a Saturday ticker change) and forgot about it.

  • Kick DH out of bed so that I can use the whole bed to stretch out and sleep in a sort of side/stomach combo position.

This is what we did the past couple nights and it was heaven. I still woke up (a lot) but I was able to grunt/groan/try to move my bump over without waking him up. Win win for everyone.

Yup. Sometimes I just need all the space to get my body in a comfortable position. Half the bed doesn't always cut it.

Shuffle around the bed until I find a comfy spot, by that time dh has usually woken up and told me to stop making so much noise he is trying to sleep, I bitch that he did this to me and that I have to work in the morning too, finally fall asleep just to be woken up by either my toddler, my dog or my alarm. Mutter some curse words under my breath, then rub my belly and tell dd that it's okay, mommy loves you and only puts up with feeling this way bc of how much I love her, then get up and get on with my day. Either spending the next 16 hours commuting and working a 12.5 hour shift, or at home with my kid and doing chores. If it's a work day I get myself a nice cup of regular coffee on the way in to make me feel a little better.

Seriously, being pregnant and being mommy sucks sometimes but we all do it and survive. Even through a all the bitching I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

  • I am allergic to my baby and have to take 4 allergy pills a day and because of that I am sleepy and sleep all the time, so try taking 4 Zyrtec a day :)
  • Go to the couch and internet aimlessly. I tend to be kept up more by anxiety than being uncomfortable at this point, so I generally make lists and try to plan like a crazy person. I also randomly check my baby registry more than I should! Not to be greedy, just to assess what I will still need to get ibrfore the baby comes!
  • Toss and turn. Moan to myself. Sit up and tear up a little. Rearrange pillows and blanket. Push husband over to his side if he is snoring or touching me or I'm just super irritated. If that doesn't wake him up I'll internet in bed for a while. Pee, drink water, internet, toss and turn, internet, cry, think about all those times I used to not sleep when I was younger because I had "better" things to do.

Eventually fall asleep to be woken by peeing, kicking, the cat etc. Repeat.

  • My friend who has 2 kids put it best..."lack of sleep in 3rd tri is to prepare you for when the baby gets here and all the lack of sleep you'll be experiencing"...
    Yeah, makes sense.
And I think it's ok to complain I mean of course we are all over the moon excited we are pregnant and baby is baking in there, but sh^t, it's uncomfortable!!! My back constantly hurts now, I pee every 2 minutes, my feet hurt, I feel giant, I'm short and it's hard to bend over kitchen and bathroom counters...I wonder how the h@ll I can grow more and stretch more...it's annoying pains but I thank God every day for this little miracle and blessing :)
