Need some suggestions.

Our dd's name is Mackenzie and ds is Brenton. My husband has vetoed every name I've come up with but does not give any suggestions except Nick JR. We both like Barrett but I'm looking for suggestions on names close to this.

We don't like super trendy/popular names (not sure how popular Barrett is).

Nick Jr. is a TV channel. Just no. LOL Barrett is too close to Brenton, IMO. What names has he vetoed? What's your style?

Nick JR would never happen.

The names I like are Oliver, Dylan, and Noah. We are pretty sure Ryan will be the middle name but not 100%.

His choices would be Nick Jr, Reginald, and Otis. Which were the exact same names he picked last time.

I like Oliver and Noah, also. But if he vetoed those, what about Andrew or Mitchell? Or even Zachary?

I suggested Zachary and Andrew. Mitchell is his brothers name. And most of the names I really like are family member names. He has no problem saying I don't like that name but doesn't suggest anything.

I really like Barrett... I grew up with one. But it's kinda close too Brenton.

How about Nolan but then the MN could not be Ryan i feel like Noah Ryan is too close to Nolan Ryan as well

@theholmanherd - I wonder every time I see your siggy and now I am at the point of curiosity where I have to ask. Is the "unbelievable joy" that is being awaited baby-related or is there something Rapture-ish on the way that I don't know about? Fingers crossed for you getting pregnant without having to go the RE route! 

I am referring to a baby LOL And thanks! We already have an unexplained IF diagnosis, but I don't want to go the IUI or IVF route yet. It's just too expensive and we are trying to stay out of debt. We're saving up for it, but would gladly welcome a BFP before then!

I like Barrett because it reminds me of The Barrett's of Wimpole Street. At first thought, some similar names might be Bennett, Bentley and Beckham....all surnames and the last one maybe too much because of the fame.  Also...Bernard and Benjamin or the very unusual form: Ben-Zion.

Garret is close to Barrett. Odin is close to Otis.

If you both like the name Ryan, go with that as the first name. You could even let him have his "Nick" and use Nicholas as the middle name:
