Congrats to everyone - we are in the final stretch! What do you have left to get done during the final countdown? *This gif only works if your are an Arrested Development dork.
Umm everything as far as the room goes! We did pick out carpet last weekend though. But DD still needs to be moved out of the room before we can do anything and each day we stall is another day I can do less and less so secretly I'm ok with waiting another week or two to move her and paint because I will supervise from the couch.
We do have most of the big items already purchased though so that is a relief.
Yeah, pretty much everything for me! We still have quite a bit to do to get the nursery ready and since I made my self stop buying stuff until after my showers, we hardly have anything we need for baby. I almost want to slow time down, but at the same time, I want to be done!

We've done nothing. I have a Pinterest board for the nursery, but have done nothing to get started on it IRL. All of DS's old things, crib et etc still need to be sorted and prepped.
Meh. I need sleep more than I need to do those things right now
We have to do... Everything. I haven't even been thinking about it. I'm thinking around the 39 week mark I'll have an "oh shit" moment and get my act together.
We're moving next week so I can FINALLY get to nesting and setting up the nursery. I am dying to get organized so I am so excited about this! I still need to get a dresser for the baby and a glider. And I have my baby shower in May.
Yeah for under 100 days to go! I don't have too much more to do. I need to pull baby clothes out of storage and wash them and buy a few things but nothing super important before baby gets here. Our only big thing would really be to get a new car seat since our old infant one expires in a month.
I feel like I have nothing done. My friend gave us her pack'n'play which LO will use in our room the first few months but other than that we have very little. I'm waiting for my shower to see what I get but I'm starting to panic over not having a car seat. Also we want to cloth diaper but I currently have no cloth diapers. I feel so overwhelmed when it comes to knowing what to buy regarding cloth diapers. I need to spend some time going over the cloth diaper post so I can gather some info.
Everything besides paint the room because we have done that.
Set up the room, set up the furniture, clean the room, clean out the closet and donate tons of stuff, some freezer meals, wash her clothes/bedding, install the car seat, buy stuff off the registry, quit work. My shower isn't for another few weeks so we can't really do all that much right now anyway since my mom bought the furniture for the room.
76 days to go until my scheduled c-section. I have everything to do, we make settlement next Friday and then all madness will start to get ready for this baby while also trying to put together a new house. Also, my babies tend to come early so 76 days might become less.
Finish building a nursery, paint two rooms and move 80% of my apartment to the new place. I also have to take my road test to get my license (I let it expire and forgot about it so now I have to prove I still know how to drive) and buy a car.
Buy/get everything for baby. Right now we have a carseat, stroller, swing and some clothes. I think we are getting a pack and play and bassinet loaned to us as well. I ordered bedding and told my mom which crib I wanted since she offered to buy it.
Hell, I'm not even registered anywhere yet.
After we have baby I have to finish moving on top of everything else.
My list pretty much just consists of putting the nursery together. We have everything - cradle, clothes, diapers, car seat. Now we just need to put it in one place! DH is going to work on that this weekend while I direct him from my throne.
I have a mini freak out every time I remember there's only ~10.5 weeks left. The only things we have so far are a car seat, stroller, and the two free bottles I got in some Motherhood gift bags. However, we're closing on our house in three weeks and I'm pretty sure my mom is coming into town to help buy us some furniture so I can finally get a nursery going in April! Patience is hard.
holy crap 77 days left for me! our crib just came today! left to do is get the dresser and wash and put away all the clothes. then just finish getting the last few things off the registry and we are ready! it's been way less stressful having another boy since we already have everything but I'm still stressing about it getting done
edit to add a picture of my crib because I loooovee it
1. Buy a few things. We have our shower in one week, then I'm hoping to go ahead and buy whatever is left after that. We already have literally all the clothes (we were given probably 150-200 pieces, sizes 0-12 months via hand-me-downs and my mom's thrift shopping). We were also given a crib, high chair, bumpo, carrier, toys, books, bathtubs, etc. So after the shower, we might be looking at a stroller, crib mattress, pack-n-play, and a few odds and ends.
2. Operation Nips. My main focus is nipple training (hawt!). I posted in a previous thread; my nipples are semi-flat and need to be more erect for BFing. I'm ordering some breast shells (not shields) and an everter to begin training them next month.
3. Birth class! Ours is in late April.
4. Try to be patient through May, when we have very little going on.
@stephross88 I LOVE that color on your walls (and the crib too)! That's pretty much what I've been envisioning for our nursery.
thanks! the wall color is called Rain Washed from Home Depot it's the prettiest shade of blue ever and the crib is Baby Cache Covington in espresso finish from BRU
I need to get all the baby stuff I stored at my parents house while we were in the process of moving and selling our old house. I should sort the clothes since while they are in tubs by size I'd always find something randomly small later and shove it in a new tote. Wash the stuff for the beginning and store it in the closet. Basically a lot of re-organizing needs to happen. At some point we need to move the monitor from DS's room to the baby's room but I like having toddler vision to see if he is staying in bed or not so that might wait til we are home. I need to get moving on everything. There is a mom to mom sale this weekend I might go to and see if there is anything cute to pick up but we'll see how motivated I am.
Paint nursery next week Maternity pics this weekend Shower next weekend Returns and picking up odds and ends next month Decorate next month Steam clean carpets Childbirth classes next month Buy a few more cloth diapers Get a trash can/wet bag for cloth dipes Put car seats in the car Pack hospital bag
I just have a lot of house cleaning I want to get done, and clean out the truck. Waiting for the carseat to come in and get that set up, working on a mobile, and needing to get a couple more decorations for her room. Go through a tote of the nuetral clothes from DS when he was born, remove tags, wash clothes and put them away. Other than that I have been progressively getting things done little by little.
Haha! I echo the "do everything" sentiment that seems to be a general theme in this thread.
On my to do list:
1) Clean the house (I may actually hire someone to come and do this...that sounds super lame)
2) Get the remaining stuff from our registry after our shower on April 5th
3) Wash all the baby stuffs
4) Set up and organize all the baby stuffs
5) DE-CLUTTER OUR HOUSE. We tend to gather crap during the winter because we're too lazy to take care of shit when it is cold and this winter (as you all know) was terrible. We still have boxes to take to the recycling center from CHRISTMAS. Oy.
6) Take Baby Care class and Breastfeeding class from hospital (we are currently in Childbirth Preparation- all our classes are offered for free from the hospital so I thought might as well)
7) Oh crap, get a pediatrician. Thanks for the reminder!
8) Find myself a doctor (I always just go to the quick clinics so I don't have someone to list- oops)
I totally agree with all those who said that EVERYTHING is left to do. I am trying to stay calm about it, but this weekend we need to get the nursery painted and the crib put together so that I can have a framework for the rest of the preparations in there. We have most of our furniture and that is about it. After my shower next month we can get everything together and start to see what we still need.
I also need to:
Take a breastfeeding class
Deep clean both of our cars, just because it needs to be done
Ugh! All of the things!! We are moving in September so we aren't doing a nursery until then. Her bedding came in last week though...so at least I know the plan for her room and for DD1's big girl room. I need to wash/prep my NB stash of CDs and the NB and 0-3 month clothes but other than that, I'm just waiting. This is SO different than last time when I had to have everything done way in advance!

I only need to pull supplies out of storage - clothes, pump, etc. Wehave a few things left to buy, but none are necessary until after LO is here.
Great topic. I'm going to use it to help me plan my what's-left-to-do list.
...Holy crap, I better get on it.
