DOR/AMA IVF Protocol did you use lupron or bcp I am hesitant...

in Pregnant after IF
Hoping to join you this summer but having a disagreement with RE over IVF protocol.

I have DOR and also AMA and DH has additionally Azoospermia.

We are considering trying fresh IVF/ICSI/PESA/AH #4 this summer this time with Estrogen Priming and fresh PESA.

And also DHEA, CoQ10 and acupuncture.

For your successful IVF cycle with Estrogen Priming, did you use Antagonist?  That is what I want to try.

Or did you try something else completely?

RE wants to use MDLF again but with EPP and bcp, which I think is way too much suppression.

Looking forward to your thoughts.  Thanks and congrats to all of you!

    I got canceled on the MDLF protocol due to a crazy response- I had three almost mature follicles during my first monitoring visit- they said I wasn't suppressed enough but that I had an uncommon response.... So I tried the long Lupron protocol next and that did the trick for me. My follicles grew slow and steady. I was in BCP for 3 weeks, overlapped Lupron the last week. I was on 450 iu of Follistim and then added menopur after a few days. I did acupuncture and we also did ICSI.
    Let me know if you have any questions and best of luck! Finding the right protocol makes all the difference and I hope they get it right for you!

    Hi, I am not DOR or AMA, but my successful cycle after 3 failed attempts was with the Estrogen Priming/Antagonist Protocol. I did not do any bcp or Lupron for this protocol. I just had to test for my LH surge and then start meds. You can see in my siggy that this protocol was the miracle for me, especially compared to my previous cycles. I know there are several of us that had a great deal of success with this protocol. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions or want specifics. I am a huge fan of EPP!!

     Me (34)- no issues found MH (36)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist. 9R, 7M, 5F = BFN c/p,  New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS  4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice. CCRM-here we come! ODWU-All test results normal. EPP in August. 21R, 20M, 19F. 12 blasts biopsied & frozen for CCS testing. Results showed 11 normal! FET Oct. 30. 2 5d 4AA blasts transferred. First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!

    Before we knew I had DOR (we thought we only were dealing with DH's severe MFI), I did the long lupron protocol which included something like 3 weeks of BC. That cycle was a huge disappointment - very few eggs retrieved and we only had 1 embryo available on transfer day. This poor response actually led to us discovering the DOR. Then we tried the antagonist protocol with a week or so of BC; I had such a poor response to that we had to cancel the cycle around day 5. That's when we changed to the LEAP protocol (absoulutely no suppression: no BC or Lupron) with the maximum amount of med dosage which finally led to our success. I had also been doing all the other stuff too - the CoQ10, DHEA, acupuncture, etc. for all the cycles after the first failed one. Good luck!

    My AMH is borderline low and my RE said femara has been shown to help in DOR cases. What are you using? I did both a BC with estrogen priming and a lupron cycle (2 different REs). I got pg on both cycles.

    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
    H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
    M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    Do you know how it differs from Estrogen Priming?

    My RE wants me to take DHEA and CoQ10 for 3 months prior and also continue with acupuncture

    FIrst if all, If you don't trust your REs opinion, get a new RE. Hopefully the RE you have is well educated and Has a ton of research experience. You should be active in your ivf planning, but if you don't trust him, leave.

    I have DOR and for my last (And successful) cycle I did antibiotic, estrogen priming, coq10, dhea, uterine irritation, all before CD1. Then started lupron, follistim, menopur and then hcg trigger. I also did pio after transfer.
    Our quantity retrieved was way less, but quality was excellent.
