I read the books, but godknows the last time I've been to see a movie and the next time I'll make it to one, lol.  I'll probably watch this one on DVD  (Though, speaking of, Catching Fire came out last week and I need to add that to my Netflix queue, haha.)

FWIW I enjoyed the first two books, but the third...meh.  So I'm not really too invested in seeing the movies, knowing that I'll likely be meh about the last one, if that makes sense.

I was a little disappointed with the last book too! Glad I'm not alone. I just re read divergent I'm anticipation of the movie. Our theater offers discounts on Tuesdays, so I think we might go next week to see it oh, and go see catching fire, it's good

I really want to see it. I haven't been to a movie since the night before L was born, so it may be a while. I will have to wait until it makes it Redbox. Just enough time to read it.

Even if the movie sucks, the people in it are pretty. The lead guy they keep showing - yes, please. haha

Same as @Hyaline‌! Also I just watched Catching Fire last weekend. I didn't think it was that great. It just seemed a little cheesy to me. I can't put my finger on why though.

Read it, didn't like the third book as much either and who knows when I get to go to a movie the next time. But I'll watch it for sure. Probably once it's on demand or redbox or something.

I read the first book in about a day and a half and started the 2nd one on Wednesday.  I'm not as crazy about the 2nd as I was about the first.

Since almost all of our nights out since Nancy has been born revolve around other people's birthday parties, gatherings etc.  chances are we won't be seeing this in the theaters either.

I'm hoping to rent Dallas Buyers Club this weekend. :-)

I rented it a week or two ago! Jared Leto was fantastic.

I just reserved American Hustle at Redbox and would have gotten DBC if I had time to watch both.

It's definitely worth reading, poppy.  I just had higher hopes for the series as a whole.  

Also, for some weird reason I pictured Four as black when reading the books (even though I know the author doesn't lead you to believe that) so every poster or still shot I see I'm like "Who's that white guy? Oh, right. It's only in my head that Four is black."

Yeah (I think--now I'm second guessing myself) and several others.  It's just one of those things about books made into movies, how people read characters in their heads all kind of ways but the film can only portray them one way.

Yes, I know what you mean, when I was re reading it last week I kept picturing the characters as the actors because I had seen the trailers, not how I envisioned them the first time around
