Eff the DC (actually cdr)

So I guess the blisters were still bad or got worse. They've been using Vaseline on E all day. Despite having a magic stick there to use.
Why is it so hard to effing call me if there is a problem or concern or question?!?!

  • Seriously how do some of these places get a license? Our last DC for D was like that. It sure makes you appreciate a good DC when you find one.

  • Poor kid, I hope the rashes clear up. Just one more week. Do you think they just don't care anymore, or is it an ongoing problem?
  • It's been an ongoing issue @lunarrainn‌. They only changed her 3 times the last few days, I don't think that's often enough. Well, obv not if she's getting blisters.

  • Ugh, no way is that enough. It is probably from sitting in too long and poop not pee. Maybe request she gets changed every 1.5 hours until the rash clears up. Or just to reapply diaper cream if it isn't dirty. They might not listen, but it might make them keep a better eye on the rash.

Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
    It all revolves around you.
  • yeah, you definitely need to report them.  in PA the law is that they have to be changed a minimum of every 2 hours and it must be documented.

It's the same in Ohio and I'd assume most states have the same regulations.

  • Sorry the blisters got worse!! I had a bad daycare too. They always "acted" like the could do whatever we wanted... But didn't call when it was warranted IMO.

One time they gave ds a "community" pacifier because they couldn't find his in his bag. WTF is wrong with people. I was horrified. That would have been something simple to call about.

Hopefully your next situation is better whatever it is. :)

  • @YellowLily2013‌ it's a nanny share with old friends who are new neighbors, and I'm super excited!

We do plan to report them. We tried once and had some issues getting the correct department.

@SecretAgentKate‌ Ha, reported for a minute with no shoes?! E came home today with one sock solid black on the bottom as if she had been missing one shoe all day.

It embarrasses me that she still goes there. We've just been really stuck.

  • Oh no!!! We've had similar issues with our DC recently. Thankfully, today is G's last day. It's been really rough having to take him every day knowing that he might only get one clean diaper the entire time he's there (he goes half days) and he might sit and watch tv all morning :/

  • This thread makes me so sad and brings out the ultra over protective mom in me. We don't really have any good daycares in this area. A handful of home daycares and one low income option. One of my friends is working to get state certified but I don't know that she will. Her H smokes but outside but the time I visited I could still smell lingering, stale smoke. She's really great with kids but I think that could stop her...Most of my friends that are working moms take their kids to home daycares in a neighboring state.

I would definitely figure out how to report them. I'm sorry you're stuck with them. :(
