Pregnant after IF

First u/s, sac high in my uterus, should I be concerned?

I had my first u/s on Tuesday (I was 5w3d).  The doctor said it was too soon to hear a heartbeat but they like to do an u/s once your beta hits 2000.  He had a hard time finding the sac but when he did he said it was high in my uterus.  He didn't seem overly positive but he didn't seem like it was a bad thing either.  He just said I have to come back in a week to make sure everything is developing correctly.  When I asked the nurse about it she said its just where it is placed at this point.

I did some additional research and some people have had to terminate the pregnancy cause it was too high and too close to their tubes.  Has anyone else had this?  I'm worried and I'm not sure if I should be.

  • I wouldn't worry if the doc didn't seem too worried. Things move around as the embryo and your uterus grow...so a lot can change in a week. GL ♥

  • I don't have any advice but I agree with the PP that if your dr wasn't concerned, then you shouldn't be either.

Dr. Goole sucks and will only tell you bad things. If you only ever remember one thing, that is it :)

I had a rocky start this pg too, my first u/s caused a week long depression I am still not totally over, event though #2 was much better. GL to you!

  • Sorry that you're stressing, I'd try to not read too much into your doctor's reaction if he didn't seem like it was a bad thing.  I hope that all looks well next week!
