Orgasm?..In My Sleep?! (+ Early Quickening??)

edited March 2014 in 1st Trimester

I understand that this may sound completely insane (with a touch of TMI)....at least it does to me:

Last night I was having a dream and while I can't remember all the details, I DO know that it was a sex dream and that I seemed to have orgasmed IN MY SLEEP. Ok....I didn't even know that was possible, but I woke up with THEE worst lower stomach cramps ever. They had me doubled over so, like second nature, I googled this weird situation and they said it was common and pretty normal.

Has this happened to anyone else? because it was just plain weird to me. There was no bleeding and the pain went away in about 5-10 minutes...but come on. I'm not even safe in my sleep lol.

Aside from that, I'm about 7 weeks along and SWEAR I feel those little tickles and what not that's refered to as 'Quickening', however that doesn't happen until 13= weeks I think . What could it be? :/

  • Rriiigghhhttt...I confirmed my knowledge that it didn't typically happen at 7 week, just wondering what it is.

  • If you think, your baby is about the size and shape of a jelly bean at the moment. If you can feel that then you have the most over-sensitive uterus on the planet. It's most likely gas. Sorry that's not as exciting. :(

  • Yea, I'm with ya on that. It's definitely not gas.1)It doesn't, at all, feel like it & 2)I just simply don't have gas so..idk. Oh well, I'll chalk it up to the millions of other weird things that happen to me on a daily basis and go on with life.

I WISH my gas felt like a feather tickling my insides. THAT would be fabulous.

What? You don't get gas? Also, all your organs shift around as your uterus grows, so things might feel different than what they used to. It wasn't the baby for sure.

  • If I didn't get gas I would be amazing, thrilled, a freak of nature, ...the list goes on.

Of course I get gas, I just meant that when I have those "tickling" feelings, I never seem to have gas at the time. At least it doesn't effect me as it normally would.

  • OP, your baby is the size of a bean.  Literally.  It's far too small for you to feel any fetal movements.  And you probably won't feel your baby until close to 20 weeks, NOT 13 weeks.

    Enjoy those sleepgasms!
  • I hate "sleepgasms". :|

  • The feeling you are feeling is your uterus growing. Some women feel it very early on

    I'm pretty sure that's a UO.

Definitely is from other posts lol. It was an inconvenience and painful! haha, no thanks!
