I spent 4 hrs in L&D last night because I was contracting every 2-3 minutes for several hours. Cervix was closed, thank goodness! Got a liter of fluid, some terbutaline and my heartrate was too high for any more terbutaline so I got a dose of Procardia which thankfully worked. They let me go because I'm an OB nurse myself & was begging...also I already had an appt schedule for this AM at 10am. Praying my doc thinks it's nothing and doesn't talk about bedrest.
Today I have an ultrasound to check baby boys heart since my dh was born with a heart tumor then just a prenatal check up. And today is also my other ds 7th birthday!
Not be an an AW but my appointment today is for DS #1, he is having his 3 year old well visit. I can't believe I have such an old kid and not a baby anymore. We've come a long way from needing weekly weight checks, I fully expect him to be right around the 50% percentile on everything.
Have a regular check up. Am dreading it. I know I've gained too much weight, and I don't know what to do about it (am actually eating a little better than I did pre-pregnancy). Was already given snark by a dentist on Monday, don't want to hear it from the OB.
ETA Phew. Not a peep about weight gain, passed sugar test, found HB straight away. May have a UTI, but honestly, what else is new...
Just left my 28 week appt and doc is pleased with everything! Still on bed rest but baby boy is growing well, heart rate looked great, and we get to see him via ultrasound at next week's appt
Had my check up. BP was great. Dr said I may just be the puffy type. Keeping an eye on things. Lost some of the fluid weight. Measuring right on.
Bean loves to play with her Dr. She always lets her find her heart beat and then kicks her and moves. Not like shifts but full on hunt for her now moves. Then she kicks her at least 3-4 more times like "na na na bo bo, you can't find me" makes me chuckle.
Dr seems really happy with everything and I am hoping for more uneventful appointments for all my June mommys.
Started contracting again about 2 hours before my appointment. Got put on the monitor & had 6 in 20 minutes. Cervix was still closed. Back to L&D for monitoring, steroid shot for his lungs & some procardia. They've settled down & I got to go home on NO bedrest! Just have to take Procardia & get my second steroid shot tomorrow. Good news!
Just had 28 week appointment. Everything looks great; I *easily* passed my 3 hour GD test, blood pressure is great, 18lb weight gain so far for me, and baby's HR was about 138. Whew! So far looks like this one really is going to turn out well . . . . .
I had my three hour glucose test today. That was not fun. The drink honestly did not taste that bad to me, but it has SO much more concentrated sugar that once I reached halfway, I was struggling to keep it down. After I finished the drink, they gave me an empty exam room to lay down in. I dozed off and on for two hours, getting my draws every hour. After I got Taco Bell :-). All and on it was OK, but definitely not something I would like to repeat.

Have my OB checkup this afternoon at 2:45 EDT. I'm interested to see how far along I'm measuring--two weeks ago I was already at 37 weeks. :-O
Good luck to everyone else today. @MrsBHM I hope everything stays stable--let us know what the doctor says!
