Low Lying Placenta

I tried to browse the board but I didn't see anything posted.

Does anyone have expereience with a low lying placenta?  I am 13w3d and as some have known have had un-reasoned bleeding throughout my first trimester.  Well it looks like they have found a possible cause, a low lying placenta.  I did have a CS with my son, and just wondering if anyone has experience with this, and does it normally move on its own?  I'm slightly freaked out... but relieved to finally have a cause for my bleeding.

Thanks @PintoBean77.  I am happy to hear of someone that went through it as well.  I go back on the 31st, and they will probably schedule an US shortly thereafter to check on its progress.  The hardest part right now is not being able to lift my son

I have one right now as well. My doctor said it's too early to cause any problems and will likely move up as the pregnancy progresses. It's nothing to worry about this early on.

I have previa as well. Same as pp said, will hopefully move up. xo

Lurking from Aug 14. I had one when I was pregnant with my son. I think they caught it at my A/S at 20wks and it had resolved itself by 28wks. Like PPs have said, try not to stress out about it. Hopefully it will move on its own!

I had this with my last pregnancy and I had a csection with both previous pregnancies. It had moved up by the 20 wk a/s.

Thanks ladies!! Trying not to stress. I think cause its already caused bleeding. .. im just nervous

They found placenta previa at my 20-week U/S with DS but by the time I went back for a follow up at 25 weeks it had already corrected itself. Try not to worry yourself too much, you have plenty of time for it to correct itself.

I have one as well. It was discovered at week 13 and because of some bleeding my dr took extra pre autions and put me in bed rest for 5 weeks. I really hoping that the resting will help it move up. I totally understand how you feel. Hope it all goes well to you guys.
