@sleepy33‌ one last question. How big is your crib wedge? I have n acide reflux pillow. It's 9" and it fits perfectly in the crib, but it's quite the duras tic incline. I would half to lower the mattress to make sure she is safe. In fact she is just chilling in there pretty calmly on the wedge.
    He has this one: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2401848&gcsct=0ChMI2LzPr8efvQIVBZjnCh3MCgAAEAA

He looks like he's 'pretending' to sleep. Like someone told him to fake it. He also has a weirdly adult-looking face. Maybe it's the dark eyebrows.

We'll, our nights are by no means great, but I just wanted to add that last week DS popped his second tooth - I gave him Tylenol (full dose) and had to hold him most of the night. Hang tight momma!

Well DH came home from work and said that he was going to be gone again Thursday night too. Calving is starting; once this starts he stays out at the ranch all weekend and goes straight from work to the ranch on weekdays. He won't come home until like 1 or 3am. This lead to me breaking down in tears. The next night he is home to help me, hopefully Friday. I think we are gonna try side caring the crib to the guest bed. To try and get over this hump. In the mean time I'm gonna try @sleepy33‌ sensory deprivation tank idea.

  • just to add: I agree with keep the room dark.  We have a vicks humidor that has the starry nights projection on the ceiling and we used that the first few months, but she sleeps so much better with it off and the room dark.  We just put the sleep sheep on and there is a tiny light from the wipe warmer (yes we have one)

  • We are definitely still having issues with DD's sleep (mainly with napping and early rising, but also night waking), but I wanted to echo that you should strongly consider moving up bedtime. What time is the last nap?

When DD was around three months old, we were on a similar schedule of bedtime around 11 and then sleeping on and off until about 11 am. In fact, I used to say that she got her best sleep from about 7 am to 11 am. One day I just decided that we needed to slide her sleep schedule into the night instead of the day. She was taking a nap around 8 pm anyway.

I'm reading a couple of different books (Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child and Good Night, Sleep Tight) right now to decide what method or methods we want to try. Both books talk about our natural sleep clocks and that *when* we sleep is almost as important as *how much* we sleep. That is, a nap from 1 to 3 pm is more restorative than a nap from 4 to 6 pm. Both recommend a bedtime of 7:00 to 7:30 pm and a wake up time of 7:00 to 7:30 am.

I'd really recommend researching the science of sleep by reading one of these books. GL!
