I finally got an appointment to get a haircut. I haven't done anything to it since June-ish...
I had layers and it's about 3" past my shoulders. I keep debating how short I want to go. I tried color for the first time last time I went and I was not impressed. I have dark brown hair and the hairdresser lightened it up by one shade. Now that it's outgrown, you can barely see it.
I am debating whether to do something wild like strawberry blonde, but it might not look good. I am pasty white with dark eyebrows. Haha!
If you do strawberry blonde, will you have to do a double process? If yes, I vote no. Too much up keep and red hair color fades super fast.
Maybe try some caramel colored highlights around your face? Is your hair straight? I love blunt bobs
Yeah, my hair is very straight. You guys are right about maintenance. I tend to go to the hairdresser twice a year. That won't fly...plus, we'll be so house poor after the move. Let's hope I can get a job soon after we move. I also want to go back to school and the PhD stipend is not much. Decisions...
I do like that Victoria Beckham cut. I don't know if I can pull it off, though. I lost weight and I'm happy with where I am, but I still have chipmunk cheeks. I'm not painting a good picture of myself.
I was trying to think of celebrities with rounder faces and I looked up Mandy Moore. Turns out even she lost her chipmunk cheeks. I do like this cut. I used to have something similar before and it worked well:
I don't want to get a cut that screams "mom." Do you know what I mean? I might be having a midlife crisis and I'm only turning 31. If anyone asks, I'm still 29.

@MrsCodeMonkey I also usually only go twice a year to get a cut which is why I put so much thought into coloring it. It is a huge commitment! And I am lazy.
I do like that red you PIP-ed. I'm tempted to go tonight and tell the hairdresser to just have fun. Might be a good experiment...maybe not. I'm too much of a control freak for that. I do like to imagine the possibilities. I feel like I need a make-over.
I went for a haircut and color last weekend for the first time in six months. I got strawberry blonde highlights to disguise the grey and got it layered just past my shoulders.I love it.

That sounds awesome! Do you want to post a pic? Your avatar is very small on my phone screen.
Whatever you do, I want pics! We are in the same boat!! I haven't gotten a cut since June, oops? Too long. My hair is pretty long, but also massively thick so anything "sleek" won't look awesome on me. Right now it's all one length.. and I'm dying for a cut, and hopefully getting one this week.

I have round features, too, and I sometimes use Drew Barrymore as a comparison. There are photos of her with all kinds of hair - long, short, blonde, red, brown - so you might find some inspiration there?
Drew is a good one for a round face. Also Kelly Clarkson-- I have used her pics when I was trying to figure out if I should chop or not.

I also want change... I'm thinking of-
Something along those lines for me. I'm scared.
That looks like a great cut! I would just make sure you go to someone good. I have always been afraid of chopping off too much in the front and ending up with bad bangs. Bangs do look great if done right.
I'm leaving my appointment in an hour. I still haven't made up my mind. Lol. I'm seriously contemplating that Posh spice haircut. We'll see how brave I am. I took a "before" selfie to have a comparison later when I jump for joy or cry. Oh, well...it's just hair.

You have a nice color to begin with. Your DD is a cutie pie
