I'm usually a little skeptical of chiropractors, but I let my pilates instructor talk me into seeing a Chiropractor who specializes in pre-natal care. Let me just say that I am now a believer!
It wasn't the usual brutal crack-job. She had a special tool (pictured below) that delivered the same adjustment to my spine, hips, and pelvis but more gentle and targeted. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about the experience. If you're experiencing any pregnancy-related joint pain whatsoever, I highly recommend seeking out a practioner in your area especially if SPD has been an issue for you.
I'm a little sore today, as she predicted I would be the day-after, but I am amazed at how much more mobility and joint flexibility she was able to give me in just a single adjustment. I can't wait to see her again next week.
Bonus: she accepts my insurance (BCBG of GA), and by "proscribing" a pre-natal massage in conjunction with the adjustment, I only pay $17 out of pocket for both.
Seriously, ladies! Look into it!
Feel free to PM me if you're interested in more specific details of the adjustment.

Another vote here! My chiropractor doesn't use the tool, though he has it and will if you request it. But I prefer the good old crack :P I find my adjustments feel like they last longer than when my last chiro used the tool on me.
FYI going to throw this out there now, ask your chiro if they're licensed in pediatric chiro as well so that you can book baby in right after birth (and beyond.) Most babies come out needing some adjustment, regardless of how they come out and I've seen adjustments make waaaaaaay happier babies. My chiro is awesome because he does all kids for free until 5 years old if Mom is a client
Since before I officialy peed on a stick. Best thing I've ever done. This pregnancy has been much more easier and comfortable than my first.
