TTC after 35

CBEOPK no peak (#2 mentioned)

I have been using the CBEOPK for about 4 months now as we are TTC #2. This month it read a high reading for 9 days and just went back to Low this morning. It never hit Peak. Anyone have this experience or suggestions? Tia!

Re: CBEOPK no peak (#2 mentioned)

  • No help...but since I'm a nut :) I always do the digital with a cheap stick and see if they both are neg or pos...

  • I have not had that issue but I have had it just hit peak with out high.  Just like @Samuelismomma I decided to get the really cheap strips off the internet and I have generic digital to do a double test when I do get a positive or negative (which ever I feel it should be doing on that certain day).  Not sure if that helps but thought I would throw in my two cents...

  • I received my CBEFM second hand, this is my first month using it. So far it's been 9 days of high no peak. Hopefully next cycle it will show me a peak day
  • Here's my two cents. I hate the monitor. But I still insist on using it. I use it with the CB digital ovulation test among others. They never seem to link up, which is confusing and frustrating. I think I'm giving up on all of them & just relying on my RE.

  • I've heard many women go back to cheapie strips after using the CBEFM because of issues like this.  The problem with the CBEFM is you don't get to see the 'leadup' to ovulation like you do with regular strips - with the strips, you usually see a fade in pattern with successive strips showing darker and darker until you ovulate - then they fade to lighter again once O is past.  This can mean pretty good accuracy in predicting O is close, I know for me that once my strips get to a certain darkness, combined with checking EWCM and temping, that I WILL ovulate within a day or two.  The CBEFM only monitors a minimum level, so you have no idea if levels are increasing over time or not, and some women seem to have a higher level earlier before ovulation, which results in longer times with high readings.

  • This is happening to me right now. Based on temps and a really close to positive Wondfo I think I ovulated on CD13, which is pretty normal for me. The stupid monitor is still showing high at CD18, no peak this month. I think I may just stop wasting the sticks. It had worked flawlessly the last 3 months so I don't know what's up. Glad I back up with OPKs and temp or we would have missed FW. Oh also I can tell just by looking at the stick that nothing is there. The second line faded days ago.
  • Lol I'm on cd22 & it still registered high this morning, smh
