If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below and include your EDD.

How far along are you this week? Any appointments or other updates? Also, please let me know if I have your “team” listed correctly or if it needs to be updated.

QOTW: If money were no object, what is the one luxury item you would buy for yourself (not YH, the children, pets...just for you)?

  • Hi ladies!

Our a/s is on Thursday! I'm excited and scared! Overall I'm feeling pretty good. I've struggled with food aversions, even this far into pregnancy and I realize I've lost a pound from my pre-pregnancy weight. Normally I'd be thrilled with news like that, but being pregnant, I hope it's not an issue. I'm feeling baby kick and roll around a lot. Sometimes more than others, but it's such a reassuring feeling!

QOTW: Thinking big, I'd go with a huge dream house too. It would be chalk full of a wonderful swimming pool, jetted tub, huge master bedroom with vaulted ceilings....ahh. Can I put a yacht in the backyard because it's on the beach too?

  • Please add me!  Looks like I missed last weeks check in... I was expecting Fridays! :)   My EDD is 9/8/13 and just one baby in there.

I was 15 weeks yesterday and had a regular OB appointment today.  Baby is in there ticking away as he/she should be.  I didn't realize until after I got back to work that the doctor didn't tell me the bpm.  I was also very surprised when he said I could come back in 3 weeks for my ultrasound.  I was mentally prepared to wait 5 more weeks so even though I'm excited to see baby, learn everything is ok and hopefully the sex... I feel like 2 weeks were just taken from me! It make it VERY real for some reason like "holy crap I'm pregnant!"

He also brought up the MASAP blood test.  Has anyone done this?  At my last appointment the midwife went over it and we talked about it at home and decided to decline.  Well talking to the OB he brought up all the possibly physical defects it should find and how that would change the way he treats me during my pregnancy or how it might change my delivery.  At first I was just thinking downs syndrome and how I don't care and it's unnecessary but now I think I should do it.  Since it is just a blood test there is no harm to the baby.

Also I am currently on metformin for a glucose intolerance  so he wants me to stop taking that and is having me come in for a 1 hour glucose test next week.  He said if my blood sugar is high that is not the way he wants to treat it during pregnancy.  No surprise here.  I knew it would be an issue and just assumed I would have GD so might as well figure it out now and start treating it!  I did think I would be able to put it off longer though...

QOTW: I can't even think of something I would want.  I sort of want to saw a double oven because I love to cook and bake but that would also benefit my DH so it's not just for me.  Either that or a tropical vacation with my girlfriends but a vacation isn't really an item!

Wow that got to be a long check in! Guess I had a lot to say this week! :)

  • @Allison7, thank you for running such a friendly and welcoming check-in!

16 weeks tomorrow!  Had my 16-week checkup today at the ob/gyn and was tremendously disappointed that there was no u/s.  I did get to hear the heartbeat (160 bpm) so that was nice.  Everything looks pretty good except that she said I have to be careful with weight gain.  According to her scale, I'm up 6-7 lbs since pre-preg...by my reckoning it's actually 9 lbs but I wasn't going to tell her that...and she said that I should only gain another 6 lbs total by the end of 2nd tri which is 11 weeks away.  Then 1-1.5lb/week for 3rd tri.  Sigh.  I'm just always so hungry!  I am still working out on the treadmill for 45-60 min three times a week, and I do a lot of other walking (for errands and such because I hate driving)...so I guess I really do need to ease up on the eating.  I'd like to develop the habit of drinking a big (16-oz) glass of water every time I find myself wandering toward the kitchen because I'm "hungry."

QOTW: Until today, I would have said my own personal massage therapist, on call 24/7.  But now I might have to go for a personal trainer...sigh.

  • @Allison7 First of all, I hope you are fully healthy for your upcoming trip! I'm excited for you!
DH and I take FOREVER to pick names. We just cannot agree. He says names that I cringe at. I'm sure all of my suggestions are great :) We just have a list of possibilities going. So for Brielle is one we both kind of like. We like that Bree or Elle can be nicknames. Knowing us though, we probably won't use it! Ha! Thanks for asking.

I'm almost 24 weeks. No news is good news here. I go for a regular checkup on Thursday.

QOTW: Hands down I'd want a bigger house and I'd want to decorate it and organize it the way I want. So I'd pretty much buy a house, decorate it, then I'd invite DH to come and live with me. YES!

  • Hi girls!

@Allison7 ~ You are a great check-in leader - so thoughtful to read through everyone's responses! I hope you feel better real soon!

I am 26 weeks and doing well! I had my routine OB appt last week - I passed the 1 hour glucose test and everything else looked great (yay!). Baby girl has been very active the past couple of days - so much so that yesterday I saw my stomach move from a few of her kicks! She's getting strong!

QOTW: I'd love to have a custom house built so that I could personalize everything to the way I like! :)

  • 23w2d!  Things are going well -- I've been super heartburny lately but otherwise I feel pretty good and I'm getting a little better about eating healthy and exercising.  OB appointment next week; u/s and GT 2 weeks after that.  Yes, I do hate waiting a long time between ultrasounds -- I want to see that little boy as much as possible!

QOTW: A day at the spa -- facial, long hot stone massage, and mani/pedi.

I will hit 20 weeks at the end of this week...almost half way to meeting Gracie. I think I finally felt her move yesterday :-) I am excited to see her at a/s on Thursday and hoping that everything looks good.

QOTD: I would buy a much bigger house with lots of storage and a really big kitchen. But, nothing new, I love the charm and details of older homes.

  • Hey ladies!

Almost 26 weeks here and starting to feel very pregnant with these two little ladies in here! My tummy looks like a beach ball at this point haha.

I just had my work shower today and the 29th is the family shower! Then while I'm still hopefully feeling ok I'll be able to wrap up the shopping and organizing and be done with the nursery!

April will be busy for us since we have all five of our birth classes to keep us busy! In May I anticipate me being very tired so I'll do the little crafty stuff I wanna do. Then holy cow, it's June!! :)

Next appt is 3/31 and I'm curious if OB will feel like taking me off work then. I'm getting to that point methinks.

    Love reading everyone's updates!

  • Hello everyone! 15w2d here- we had a regular checkup yesterday with no u/s but did get to listen to baby's heart, which calmed my nerves a bit. Best sound on earth, I'm sure you'd all agree! We have the second set of bloodwork for our integrated screening next week, then second ultrasound April 9th. I feel pretty great, especially compared to first tri. I haven't gained any weight since last appt- she made mention of it (I guess because I started at a low-healthy weight and should be gaining steadily?) but I'm up 9 lbs total so she wasn't too worried, just told me to "not be afraid to eat" and make sure I'm replacing all the calories I lose running.

@Allison7- thank you for asking- I am still holding out on the FB announcement, not sure why at this point but we did have a friend take a couple really cute photos over the weekend that I'll probably use, so I'm at least one step closer! Maybe this weekend.

  • Hey Ladies! Sounds like everyone is doing great, yay!! I'm about 23 w and belly is getting big! Sleeping is getting pretty uncomfortable, and all I want is to sleep on my back! I am feeling great though, besides for some typical aches and pains in the feet and daily tiredness. Babies are moving like crazy which is so fun and reassuring that all is well in there. Got my diaper bag today and registered at a super cute place that does all the customized monogrammed items. I'm officially done registering, woohoo!!

  • Hi everyone! I am 22 weeks and still dealing with the chest/rib pain. Yesterday was the worst day so far but today is better. I also have had some spotting and contractions so feel like a mess, but I saw the dr and he said everything looks fine. He was very reassuring that he wasn't worried for me or baby. I just want this baby to stay inside and keep growing, and make sure both of us are healthy!

QOTW: I have to agree with many of you on a house. I love our current place, but something a little bigger with a garage, bigger kitchen, and another bathroom would be really nice. If it was something just for me though, I would say a horse. We had to say goodbye to our horse a few months after DS was born (she had a rare condition and had been at a major facility for months trying everything). I miss her and riding all the time!

  • Hello everyone! I am 23 wks and 4 days today. My OB appt went well on Monday. Dr says my weight and BP is perfect. They will do another US at 28 weeks to check the position of the placenta and the growth of the baby. She is moving a lot and I feel her most of the day. We had our labor and delivery class last night and it made everything much more real. I'm trying to enjoy my pregnancy as much as I can. I notice I still have a big appetite but can't eat too much like before since I feel stuffed :(
Trying to eat smaller meals. Sleeping on my side is getting a little better but I still wake up feeling quite tired in the morning.
Qotw: I would buy a Louis Vuitton bag and a house on the beach like Malibu or even in Maui!
  • Hi  ladies! 18w5d today and my belly seems to grow by the day! So far everything looks good and we go for our anatomy scan on the 31st. There have thankfully been no more scares and my uterus seems to be on good behavior as long as I drink a ton of water and pee every 10 minutes! The twins are starting to move around more, and it's really cool/strange at the same time to feel them moving around, I can only imagine what it will be like as they continue to grow.

QOTW: I'd probably buy a beach house or some place where I could just go to relax and get away.

Sooo happy to be in 2nd tri! 15w today and my 2nd ob appt is next week. I'm really looking forward to hearing baby girl's hb again and checking in on her. I thought I felt her last night when DH and I were laying on the couch...but it have been my imagination. I have an anterior placenta, so I'm guessing it was a muscle twitch or gas. :-)

We still have 1 more week to go before the final testing comes back...I'm getting antsy. We decided to tell our parents and I'm glad we did. They all seem so happy and excited for their first grandchild...we did tell them not to get too excited since we're still waiting to see if everything's ok.

QOTW: A private tropical island so I have somewhere to go and just relax. Maybe I'd let DH tag along...if he was being a good boy ;-)

  • hi ladies!  26wk1 day today!  It's been quite a week here - DH and I have passed around a nasty stomach bug, so today is the first day I've felt like  "person" again.  I ended up in the hospital Tuesday night/Wed morning for monitoring and IV fluids, since I was so dehydrated - the babies did not like being hooked up to fetal monitors.  Baby boy used his as a kicking target the entire time...

Last Friday we went to a mothers of multiples sale and scored a ton of great stuff - a double jogging stroller, travel-size high chair seats, sit-u-ups, a johnny jump-up, several headrest mirrors for the car, an 8-piece playard with gate, foam floor squares, a boppy and extra pillowslip, 2 piddle pads for their carseats, a vibrating bouncer chair, and a few other things -- all for less than $250!

We have our infant CPR class tonight, and next doctor appointment tomorrow morning - can't wait to get more pics of the babies!

QOTW:  I want a week at my favorite spa.  Just me, with a massage every day, and lots of "pamper me" time to nap, read, relax....DH and I have talked about doing an overnight trip this October to my favorite resort/spa, so that we can have a day to ourselves to relax (sort of a belated anniversary trip, since our anniversary is in July, and we know we won't be able to get away to do anything that soon)

  • We are 20w3d and had our anatomy scan yesterday. Everything looks good although i have to go back for another few pics of the heat since LO was not so cooperative. We found out that we're having a BOY... very excited to know(and shop)! Have our follow-up with the doctor tomorrow but tech said they didn't see anything concerning and was fantastic with explaining everything. Very glad we can breathe a bit better now and finally allow myself to be excited. Sorry for the formatting--TB changed things and my Kindle isn't having it! QOTW: I would definitely buy myself an incredible house... I have the perfect one for right now, but a girl can dream!

    Thank you @Allison7! Great moderator!

We just moved over the last week and it's been chaos. Ugh. I hate moving! But I did find a moms of multiples group in the area that I'm meeting up with on Sunday so that's cool.

I have another MFM appointment this coming Monday and my a/s scan 2 weeks after that. They have me on this annoying schedule where I have an u/s or MFM appt every two weeks. It seems like overkill. Also, I haven't felt any movement yet which I'm kinda happy for. All the kicking was not my favorite part of my last pregnancy. It was kinda creepy.

QOTW:I would buy a personal chef, a live in nanny and a night nurse for when the babies get here...
Me: 34 - low ovarian reserve
    DH: 40 - no issues

    IVF #3 Now (12/13). AMH is very low - 0.19. ER (12/5) 12 eggs, 10 mature, 7 fertilized using ICSI. 3 transferred (8,8,8 cell - all grade 2) on day 3. First beta - 12/21/13 = 126, beta #2 - 12/23/13 = 400, beta #3 - na (office was closed for new year's). First sonogram - TWINS aka OMG! -

  • Hi, all! This is my first post here. I'm 15 weeks, 3 days and my EDD is 9/9. We are team blue!

Had an OB appointment this week. It's crazy how different the technology is between the RE and the OB. With the RE, we could see fingers clearly at 8 or 9 weeks, whereas at the OB, I'm like Rachel on the friends episode where she can't see the baby at her OB's office.

QOTW: I'm with all of those who said a nice, furnished house!
Me (31) - PCOS with insulin resistance

4 rounds of Clomid = no response
    IVF # 1 - ET (1 3AA, 4 frosties): 12/22 = BFP
    EDD: 9/9/2014

  • As of tomorrow, I will be 22 weeks and we are having a baby boy who will be named after my hubby: Allen Jr. We will call him AJ. So far everything is going great with the pregnancy. I will have an echocardiogram to look at AJ's heart, which looked okay during my level 2 scan. However, the MFM MD recommends a closer look for IVF babies to ensure all is truly well.

I am surprised to say that I have only purchased one cute outfit for AJ and nothing else. Everyone, including my hubby is so surprised with my restraint. In 2 weeks I will be 6 months, so we need to get on the ball.

I hope everyone is doing well and wish you all continued healthy and happy pregnancies!!

  • After reading my post on the last check-in, an update is clearly needed.  I apologize for the delay in posting an update, but I haven't been on the computer much over the last 10 days!  The preterm labor was able to be held off for another day, but ultimately it was unable to be stopped, and I progressed to 8cm.  I was delivered on Friday, March 14, at exactly 26 weeks via c-section due to malpresentation.  We have 2 beautiful baby girls, born at 1 lb 12oz and 1 lb 13 oz.  Both are fighting so well in the nicu. They are so strong but they have such a long road ahead of them.  We would really appreciate your prayers during this difficult time.
