Re: ***2nd Tri Check-in 3/18/14***
I'm either 26w or 26w1d today depending on who you talk to. I've been feeling really great still! I had a m/w appt this weekend and I found out I'm anemic, but I've started on iron supps, so hopefully they do the trick and I don't get so winded by just talking anymore. Other than that everything is good! They measured my belly for the first time and I was measuring 26 cm, which is actually a little ahead, so that was good. I've finally gained some weight and thankfully it's all in my belly - maybe a little in my thighs, but not bad. I'm definitely in the "cute" phase of pregnancy and I hope it lasts as long as possible. Also, the kicks and movements have gotten crazy and really strong. Today baby actually kicked me a couple times and I went "OUCH!" Uh oh!!! haha
We're going to Florida this weekend for a last change getaway/mini babymoon. We don't have much money to do anything, so this was a good option since my parents have a house down there that we can stay in for free :-) We also didn't want to take too much time off from work so that we can save as much as possible for after baby is born.
QOTW: I would buy a Chanel bag. One of the classic black quilted with gold hardware ones. Yummy.
IVF/FET #1 - BFP!!

Hi ladies!
Our a/s is on Thursday! I'm excited and scared! Overall I'm feeling pretty good. I've struggled with food aversions, even this far into pregnancy and I realize I've lost a pound from my pre-pregnancy weight. Normally I'd be thrilled with news like that, but being pregnant, I hope it's not an issue. I'm feeling baby kick and roll around a lot. Sometimes more than others, but it's such a reassuring feeling!
QOTW: Thinking big, I'd go with a huge dream house too. It would be chalk full of a wonderful swimming pool, jetted tub, huge master bedroom with vaulted ceilings....ahh. Can I put a yacht in the backyard because it's on the beach too?

QOTW: If money were no object, I'd get a gorgeous house on the beach or lake. Complete with outdoor living- fire pit, bbq, pool, hot tub and grass. Oh and a boat ramp in the back for the boat
Please add me! Looks like I missed last weeks check in... I was expecting Fridays!
My EDD is 9/8/13 and just one baby in there.
I was 15 weeks yesterday and had a regular OB appointment today. Baby is in there ticking away as he/she should be. I didn't realize until after I got back to work that the doctor didn't tell me the bpm. I was also very surprised when he said I could come back in 3 weeks for my ultrasound. I was mentally prepared to wait 5 more weeks so even though I'm excited to see baby, learn everything is ok and hopefully the sex... I feel like 2 weeks were just taken from me! It make it VERY real for some reason like "holy crap I'm pregnant!"
He also brought up the MASAP blood test. Has anyone done this? At my last appointment the midwife went over it and we talked about it at home and decided to decline. Well talking to the OB he brought up all the possibly physical defects it should find and how that would change the way he treats me during my pregnancy or how it might change my delivery. At first I was just thinking downs syndrome and how I don't care and it's unnecessary but now I think I should do it. Since it is just a blood test there is no harm to the baby.
Also I am currently on metformin for a glucose intolerance so he wants me to stop taking that and is having me come in for a 1 hour glucose test next week. He said if my blood sugar is high that is not the way he wants to treat it during pregnancy. No surprise here. I knew it would be an issue and just assumed I would have GD so might as well figure it out now and start treating it! I did think I would be able to put it off longer though...
QOTW: I can't even think of something I would want. I sort of want to saw a double oven because I love to cook and bake but that would also benefit my DH so it's not just for me. Either that or a tropical vacation with my girlfriends but a vacation isn't really an item!
Wow that got to be a long check in! Guess I had a lot to say this week!

Hi girls!
Our anatomy scan and fetal echo last week went well. My little chunk is weighing 13 ounces according to them and he's measuring normal in all areas. Fetal echo didn't show any abnormalities and I even got to watch him in real time with balled up fists, boxing with my uterus as I felt it! Lol
They also measured my cervix again and everything looks good with that as well. She used the dildo cam and someone's big noggin was RIGHT THERE, just chilling upside down. I just hope he knows he has to be like that in another 20 weeks!
Little guy likes to hang out in my uterus like this. Hands behind his head, chin to his chest and legs coming up over him! He's silly already!
QOTW: I would buy a super nice house, with an amazing master bath and lots of nice comfy furniture! I would also have a pool and hot tub, that look like they belong in some island spa resort.
@ThoseThreeWords I haven't spoken to any doulas myself, but I mentioned the idea to my husband since it is literally just the two of us here and I thought it might be nice to have some experienced support since I won't have any other family or friends even in the state at the time. He only see's dollar signs too! Men are a pain sometimes...though I understand our budget is super tight right now due to unforeseen money rip-offs we have dealt with lately. Hopefully your husband caves and you get your doula!

Almost 26 weeks here and starting to feel very pregnant with these two little ladies in here! My tummy looks like a beach ball at this point haha.
I just had my work shower today and the 29th is the family shower! Then while I'm still hopefully feeling ok I'll be able to wrap up the shopping and organizing and be done with the nursery!
April will be busy for us since we have all five of our birth classes to keep us busy! In May I anticipate me being very tired so I'll do the little crafty stuff I wanna do. Then holy cow, it's June!!
Next appt is 3/31 and I'm curious if OB will feel like taking me off work then. I'm getting to that point methinks.
Love reading everyone's updates!

Hi ladies! 18w5d today and my belly seems to grow by the day! So far everything looks good and we go for our anatomy scan on the 31st. There have thankfully been no more scares and my uterus seems to be on good behavior as long as I drink a ton of water and pee every 10 minutes! The twins are starting to move around more, and it's really cool/strange at the same time to feel them moving around, I can only imagine what it will be like as they continue to grow.
QOTW: I'd probably buy a beach house or some place where I could just go to relax and get away.

Sooo happy to be in 2nd tri! 15w today and my 2nd ob appt is next week. I'm really looking forward to hearing baby girl's hb again and checking in on her. I thought I felt her last night when DH and I were laying on the couch...but it have been my imagination. I have an anterior placenta, so I'm guessing it was a muscle twitch or gas. :-)
We still have 1 more week to go before the final testing comes back...I'm getting antsy. We decided to tell our parents and I'm glad we did. They all seem so happy and excited for their first grandchild...we did tell them not to get too excited since we're still waiting to see if everything's ok.
QOTW: A private tropical island so I have somewhere to go and just relax. Maybe I'd let DH tag along...if he was being a good boy ;-)
hi ladies! 26wk1 day today! It's been quite a week here - DH and I have passed around a nasty stomach bug, so today is the first day I've felt like "person" again. I ended up in the hospital Tuesday night/Wed morning for monitoring and IV fluids, since I was so dehydrated - the babies did not like being hooked up to fetal monitors. Baby boy used his as a kicking target the entire time...
Last Friday we went to a mothers of multiples sale and scored a ton of great stuff - a double jogging stroller, travel-size high chair seats, sit-u-ups, a johnny jump-up, several headrest mirrors for the car, an 8-piece playard with gate, foam floor squares, a boppy and extra pillowslip, 2 piddle pads for their carseats, a vibrating bouncer chair, and a few other things -- all for less than $250!
We have our infant CPR class tonight, and next doctor appointment tomorrow morning - can't wait to get more pics of the babies!
QOTW: I want a week at my favorite spa. Just me, with a massage every day, and lots of "pamper me" time to nap, read, relax....DH and I have talked about doing an overnight trip this October to my favorite resort/spa, so that we can have a day to ourselves to relax (sort of a belated anniversary trip, since our anniversary is in July, and we know we won't be able to get away to do anything that soon)

We just moved over the last week and it's been chaos. Ugh. I hate moving! But I did find a moms of multiples group in the area that I'm meeting up with on Sunday so that's cool.
I have another MFM appointment this coming Monday and my a/s scan 2 weeks after that. They have me on this annoying schedule where I have an u/s or MFM appt every two weeks. It seems like overkill. Also, I haven't felt any movement yet which I'm kinda happy for. All the kicking was not my favorite part of my last pregnancy. It was kinda creepy.
QOTW:I would buy a personal chef, a live in nanny and a night nurse for when the babies get here...
