When did you start to show with your 2nd?

Hey Mamas!

I am pregnant with my 2nd child and curious as to if I will show much sooner than I did with my first. Any mamas and have any insight?

I know everyone is different but just wondering approximately when you started showing with your 2nd. Any Mamas on baby #3 here?

With my first I didn't show until around 18 weeks. I assume I will be much sooner than that this time around!

Waaaaaaaay sooner.  Like 8 weeks-ish?  I was in a wedding at about 6 weeks and it wasn't super-obvious BUT I did have to get a different dress.

Yikes @drpayne that's what my gf said too. She said expect around 8 weeks.

I'm on #3.  Like #2, I'm 'showing' waaay earlier.  I'm almost six weeks and I look pregnant--although it's bloating, not baby...but I won't be able to keep it a secret for long.  With #1, I started showing early for a first time pregnancy--like 12-13 weeks.

Well, I realize it's not the baby.  I do think there is more to it than just bloat though... ie the uterus not shrinking entirely after the first one, expanding more quickly the second time around, loss of muscle tone, etc.

Yes of course ladies most of it will be bloat for sure.  I was just wondering around what time to expect it at the 2nd time around.  Thanks for the responses!

I'm interested to know why people think this question is asked.  I'm also interested in knowing when people started to show simply because I want to know when OTHER people may look at me and think "she's pregnant."  It's not like I'm going to be able to explain to those people that it's just bloat.

I've never shown (as in looking obviously pregnant) until 18-20 weeks with any of mine. I'm overweight, though, so it's possible it just takes a while for the belly fat to look more like a baby bump.

With my first, I think I felt the first movement around 16 weeks and really popped around 18.

With my second, I felt the first kick at 12 weeks and popped at 14.

It's bloat for the first tri. Bloaty bloaty bloat.
