I need something that is more functional than what I currently have. With 2 kids, I need something a little larger. This is what I have now and I never zipper it because it is always overflowing. I've thought about going the Etsy route but those can be pricey too. Budget $50...give me your faves!

It's funny you posted this b/c I was just looking at bags too. I'm on mobile so I can't see how old your kids are. I have 2 kids, 3.5 and 2yrs so only one in diapers. Right now I generally use a backpack for all day outings. If we are going on a short outing I take our old diaper bag but leave it in the car. we are planning to have a 3rd baby so I know I will need a bigger bag then, but I also don't want to be carrying around a suitcase lol.

I got a nice leather tote bag from HauteLook (they have tons of varieties but it's a deal of the day type of website so check back if you don't see something you like).  I wanted something that didn't scream diaper bag but was big enough to hold a couple diapers, some wipes, a sippy cup, etc. on the weekends.  I've been really happy with it!  I think I paid around $30 for mine.

It's stylish enough to carry as my everyday purse but holds all of DD's things.  I don't carry a separate diaper bag.

Personally, I like having a small wristlet or cross body bag and then a separate larger bag.  That way if DS isn't with me, I just have a small bag and I'm not lugging all his stuff around unnecessarily.  If I take him with me, I just slip my small purse into the tote bag and I'm ready to go.

And the tote bag I'm using now is a Thirty One bag.  It's fine, I guess.  Someone gave it to me as a gift.  I like the pockets and structure a lot, I'm just not real wild about the design.
