Thinking about giving up EBF & adding formula. I'm completely exhausted. She wants to be held constantly so I have no time to pump and when I do I'm only getting 2-3oz from one breast. Plus I'm finding pumping very awkward. My question is if I decide to stop BF what type of formula should I try? Right now we just started Zantac for possible reflux. If it doesn't get better in 3 days we are going to try a lactose protein free formula per our pediatrician. But if the Zantac seems to help my VERY fussy baby then what formula if needed? She's 3 weeks as of yesterday.
Re: Formula??
Now I know why I never post anything on here. Some of you are very rude when in reality we are all in the same boat...tired, stressed, overwhelmed.
Someone telling you to simply ask your pediatrician, isn't rude or anyway offensive.
Your comment was rude, calling out people because they didn't answer the way you wanted them too. Boo woo!
Edited because spelling.
No one was rude to you. We aren't doctors or formula experts, and even if we have kids with the same issues as yours, what works for our kid may not work for yours. Your pediatrician knows what your kid needs and what might work best.
I've found a great correlation between people who ask "obvious" (read: dumb) questions and people who think everyone on TB is rude.
I will obviously ask my pediatrician, but I thought ppl could tell me what has worked for them. Signing off because I have other things to do besides argue with ppl in cyber space. And yes that is rude of me.
Is there some part of the world where people truly believe not hearing exactly what they want to hear is rude? Because if so, I want to avoid that place.
Now if that's helpful to you for your LO please go ahead and take my "opinion" . If not call your pedi!
He still grunts but it's getting lesser so I think it has to do more with his reflux than allergy. Still experimenting to identify what works for him.
