Thanks guys and no I'm not Laureny .i am just young and trying to sort out fact from fiction

Fact is (as others have stated) bloat is very common in 1st tri. Your uterus is tucked away pretty low for the first several weeks. Early or more severe symptoms do not indicate a multiples pregnancy. Pregnancy is dated from LMP unless an u/s contradicts it or you know exactly when you ovulated.

A lot of women (not just young ones either) are very uninformed/misinformed about how their bodies work, especially with cycles and pregnancy. It's good to learn how much is truth or myth. Get a few reputable pregnancy books, research, take your prenatal vitamins, and set up prenatal care with a good OB.

Nope, yours must be broken. There are definitely quintuplets in there.

  • My first Vaginal Sonogram was at a little under 4 weeks and they could tell it was a singleton.  One sac.  Have you had a sono?  I tested ++ by week 2.  It depends on how much HCg you are producing, not sure if twins make you produce more or not?  Good luck either way!  I wanted twins but happy none the less.
What? You saw a sac at just under 4 weeks?
I somehow completely missed her post initially, but I guarantee that she's just counting from when she ovulated. So she tested positive approximately two weeks after ovulation (when she was 4 weeks pregnant) and saw a sac at just under 6 weeks.
  • As much as you would like to believe your showing already. It takes a few months, I mean around 5-6 (sometimes longer) before you began to "look" pregnant and not that you eat too many hamburgers for lunch!

It is so nice to see your response, teresat858! Some people get so ridiculously bothered about people asking for opinions, so I like to see people who give pleasant, useful feedback. Most people asking for opinions are just looking for some insight from personal experience and some reassurances while waiting on appointments or phone calls with professionals, so I really appreciate that you did that. :)
  • I'm 38 years old and this is my first pregnancy... I am almost 9 weeks... I have done my research. I still feel under educated when it comes to pregnancy. This board seems kind of persnickety regarding bloat vs bump. I prefer to refer to my bloat as part bump because I am excited about this miracle baby that I was told I would never have...

Congratulations on your pregnancy AND inventing a new word.
