stomach bug and 7 month old

Does anyone have an experience with the stomach bug? My almost 7 month old got the bug on Friday- it hit daycare really bad. I've been in contact with his pediatrician and am not looking for medical advice. Just wondering about others experiences and how long it took to get back to normal.

LO vomited about 5 times- all over me Friday morning so we switched him over to pedialyte 1 teaspoon every 10 minutes for 4 hours and then 2 teaspoons every 10 minutes for another 4 hours and then we tried some formula which he has been holding down. But now it's Tuesday and he is still drinking no more than 20 oz a day and has lost some weight (I am waiting on a call back from the pedi right now). He was drinking almost 8 oz bottles before this bug hit and now it's hard to even get 5 oz down. He is also super tired and while he is wetting diapers and seems to be happy (two great signs) he is just not himself. I figured it could take a week to get him back to normal- but curious on how long it has taken others. I haven't been giving him any solids because I don't want to irritated his belly and I want him to get calories from the formula....so I will be asking the nurse when I should reintroduce them.  

Anyone have some tips on how to get him eating a little more? Or am I being a FTM crazy and should just go with the flow?

It took my LO about 3 or 4 days to get back to eating a normal amount when she had the stomach bug.

@kristinita12 thank you! So hopefully we are on the mend. ...and now I am starting to feel sick.
