I just found out I'm going to be ovulating the week of our honeymoon! We want to start having children ASAP so for me this is a great thing. Has anyone every had luck when TTC for the first time? How about on the honeymoon?
Even if people on here tell you that they got KU right away, it doesn't mean you will. And just because a bunch of people say it took them a year doesn't mean it will take you that long.
I didn't get a honeymoon baby but I did get a 1 year anniversary baby! But it was on the first try, we didn't want to get preggo to TO fast because I already have two children from a previous marriage (oddly enough I got preggo with them on the first try too lol) so we want a bit of an adjusting period first. It can happen so go for it! : )

We didn't get pregnant on our honeymoon, but that's because we weren't ready to start our family. We took a couple years to just be us and then took a last hurrah to India and Nepal with the plan of starting TTC. I came back pregnant. I agree with PPs though that my experience has nothing to do with you and you also can't predict ahead of time when you will ovulate.
I did too but we didn't conceive. Married last July and after a few months of just seeing what happens, I started temping in December and OPK this month. Just ovulated so hopefully this is the month for me!! I am 36 and he is 40, TTC 1st. All signs show I'm normal for cycles and ovulation. Good luck and congrats!! Ps I got my period the day before my wedding and it was not as bad as I thought it could have been. Flow was lighter than usual.
TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes. Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube. If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help. Doubts I have endometriosis. My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
I was so stressed after my wedding that my period was 6 days late, you don't know when you will ovulate.
Second, TTC is a crapshoot. I have a friend who was 32 when she got KU...her husband took her out and wined & dined her and BAM...one shot to a BFP. My other friend got married in December at the age of 34 and got KU the first shot too.
For literally everyone else that I know personally, it took 6-12+ months. You never know.

TTC #1: July 2014 Me: 31 DH: 29
DX (me): Inborn error of metabolism - protein restriction, metabolic formula & weekly blood tests
DNA Results (7/1): DH is NOT a carrier for my genetic disorder!
7/3: Metabolic clinic gave the green light to TTC - holy crap!
DH and I conceived our first month trying around our wedding day but it was a chemical pregnancy and ended as quickly as it started unfortunately. It was disappointing. That was January. We decided we wanted to hold off until later this year or early next year around our one year anniversary.
give yourself some time to enjoy being married and get to know one another. that's my opinion.
I'm in this camp. Despite being with my guy for 5 years and living together for 4 pre-marriage, we still loved having time together. Marriage can be complicated, even for the best of relationships. It won't change your relationship but (for us) it did change some of the situations we encountered and had to deal with. I'm glad we had time together to figure things out before baby.
But, what's right for me isn't necessarily right for you. If you do TTC on your honeymoon I wish you the best of luck!
Re: Honeymoon Baby?
So, I guess good luck.

We are going to start TTC on our honeymoon as well. Well aware that the timing may not be right but looking forward to giving it a shot!
Good luck!!
