I know I'm not the only one up...39 wks today and wide awake thinking what my dr will say at my appt tomorrow. Probably scheduling a c-section....

What's keeping everyone else up tonight? Can't wait till it's holding my LO vs worrying about labor and being uncomfortable!

Nursing..I was just wondering where this post was! Tried lo in her swing she did ok till it stopped swinging...the thing is just to loud to keep going all night in our room. Goal for the week is to get her used to sleeping in her packnplay!

Good morning! Up nursing as usual. Of course it can't go smoothly. My left nip is flat and keeps going soft on me. So we spend 15 minutes trying to get him latched on me. These feedings are turning into hour-long affairs.

Up feeding and I'm SO tired! Last night he didn't sleep until 4 AM. Doing better tonight so far. I definitely got spoiled by DS1. He has always been an amazing sleeper. This child's going to be the death of me!

Just nursing away here, trying to stay awake this time. It would be nice to sleep in my bed instead of the chair. DS2 did a lot of nursing today so I'm over this sitting business. Hopefully DD finishes soon so I can get some sleep before DS2 is up again!

Nursing here...hoping dd will sleep in her bassinet after this feed. After the last one I was rocking her in bed because everytime I put her down in her bassinet she woke herself up...and she ended up staying in bed with me.

As much as I unexpectedly love breastfeeding my little guy, the whole process is a total mindfuck and I'm ready to stop. And I feel SO GUILTY. Ugh. I need to talk to my doc about therapy but ain't nobody got time for that.

Here! Nursing DS again. Why every hour in the middle if the night? Hoping he's had enough and will have a good 2-3 hour stretch.

I hear ya! I pump but maybe get 6 oz a day with pumping. I'm ready to stop but my mind guilts me to much. A therapy appointment would help. Me think it through but yeah no time.

I am here nursing. We've been struggling to get E sleeping in the bassinet. She is a cuddler! But this is usually her last feeding before a longer stretch of sleep, so hopefully I get a decent stretch in soon.

Up nursing.
This is the first night LO is sleeping in her crib instead of the newborn napper of the pnp.
So far she's still waking every 2 or 3 hours but I might be sleeping a bit better in between because I can't hear every single grunt and squeak.
On the other hand DH doesn't either so he's not helping at all.
We'll see how the rest of the night goes.

Anyway, hi everyone!!

Trying to stay awake so I can hear DS2 if he cries. Once I have a baby I sleep like a rock which means DH always gets up with the baby. He needs some sleep since last night and this night DS2 thinks day time is 10pm-3am. I luckily got in a nap yesterday but DH didn't. DH is such a great Dad!

Nursing.
It's been a rough night. I was up until 1 because LO refused to sleep. Just as I got her to sleep around midnight, ds woke up! Then the second I laid her in her bassinet on the pnp, she woke up. Ugh! That's when dh loses it (he had been sleeping and was awoken by the chaos). Finally he just goes and lays on the couch with her. I woke up at 3 and they were asleep, dd on his chest. At 4:30 he came back and laid her in her bassinet and went to bed. Not sure if she was already waking, woke up because she was hungry, or woke because she suddenly hates her bassinet.
All I know is that THIS is my least favorite part of having a newborn. All I want is sleep and not getting enough causes dh and I to argue and take out of frustrations on each other.

Eta: I'm terrified that she just wants to sleep with us and won't sleep in her bassinet anymore.

Didn't sleep great, but better than expected.  No weird baby dreams like the last few nights.  Heading in for my induction in about 15 minutes.  Eeek!

@Lmalear01 and @amymheidecker‌ - yeah, I have a shield but he hates it and for some reason he doesn't get much milk through it. So he gets mad at the shield, screams, gets his hands in the way, only to finally latch and get frustrated. After doing that a couple times, I take off the shield and pray that he pulled the nipple out enough to latch which he usually does with more working at it. It's a looong process. Like 30 minutes. So not a lot of sleep here.

Here! Just changed and fed LO and I think he's actually asleep in the bassinet next to me. This is a first.

Edit: nope. Knew it was too good to be true.

Uhhh finally got missy to sleep since being up since 2. I'm exhausted. Ready for H to get off at 8. Then he's on baby duty so i can get some sleep.

Here. Relieved that even though he didn't "nap" well all day, J slept his normal stretch from about 1:30-5. Currently, DH's alarm is going off across the hall. I almost want to stay awake because the other day he turned it off every 9 minutes (go home iPhone you're drink, snoozes should be 10 minutes) from 5:15-7:30. I told him he deserves a medal for that dedication lol

@B2B.2010‌ yes feeds get shorter. A lot of it may be comfort nursing which is good for supply and makes baby happy. I'm sorry this feed was so long though, that's frustrating.
We've been giving a pacifier which I'm fine with but I wish we hadn't given it as much. My LO is 6 weeks, and last night he wouldn't comfort nurse. He ate, then was done with the breast and wanted his pacifier to go to sleep. It made me kinda sad.

Nursing again...small success took the sheild off half way through and she is finally latching onto my nipple. A bit of a struggle but it's a start!

Up since 3ish. Started having contractions that feel a little more painful, but still mostly annoying and not quite timeable.

And really, I can't go back to sleep because of the anxiety. Have to wait for the scheduler to call this morning to give me a time to go in tonight to start the induction. Last night at home before baby. And I've been awake to 'enjoy' most of it.

Here. Couldn't fall asleep till 230, awake again at 530, have Dr appt at 850 - somewhat anxious as he offered an induction last Tuesday and I turned it down, not sure what today's appt is going to bring!

So after feeding him at 5:30, J either didn't sleep or slept very noisily so mama didn't sleep. I always feel decent during the 5:30 feed like if I just get a few more hours I'll be perfect. Then I never get those few more hours. Or if I do, it's stretched out until like noon. Womp womp "/

Both babies have started to have poor latches so I avoided tandem feeding them last night to save my nipples. Unfortunately I couldn't get them on any sort of coordinating schedule so I got about two hours of sleep. I'm going to be a zombie today.
