Top of Stairs Gate

The gate we used at the top of the stairs with my daughter was always in the way. It opened wide from one side and while it did it's job as far and keeping her safe it was a pain in the butt for the rest of us! Does anyone know if they make a gate that can be safely used at the top of the stairs that has a pass thru door that self closes? Since it's at the top of the stairs it needs to be a screw into the wall type not a tension mount. I looked online but everything I saw seemed to be tension mounted. Thanks!

Thanks for your response! The one we have is a Kidco and it's held up great. I looked on their website and I think we probably have the best one the make for our space. I was just hoping for a secret jem of a solution. Thanks again for your help!

We have a North States one - we haven't put it up yet but we also have the North States fence/play yard and we like it. It screws into the wall, and the part that opens is pretty compact and shuts behind you.
