Spotting at 10 Weeks

Hi.  I'm 10 weeks and have been spotting (occasionally with clots and tissue) for weeks now.  Everytime I go for an ultrasound the baby looks to be developing normally and has a strong heart beat.  Everything looks good, but my doctor can't figure out what is causing this.  They keep saying its old blood, but can't explain the tissue and clotting.  Has anyone had a similar situation?

I've had spotting since beginning and periods of heavier bleeding (red). Similar to you I've had u/s showing baby is progressing well with a strong heartbeat. Unfortunately I have had same experience where I'm not really getting answers as to WHY I am bleeding. This is tough and can be frightening. Have they advised you to refrain from exercise and intercourse? I wish you luck and hope that your bleeding stops soon.

Thanks.  I wish you luck too.  They have advised me to refrain from intercourse.  They did not say anything about excercise, but I have been too afraid to since the spotting.
