Happy St. Patrick's Day! Share your smiley moments from the week.
My Irish CD blessing for you: may the bum be always dry, the wipes be always wet, the wash water be neither hard nor soft, and the poo be scented of flowers.
My parents have been visiting for the last two weeks, and now that they are pretty comfortable with DS's schedule, and he is comfortable with them, I am taking the next 48 hours off. Going in to Londontown to stay at a hotel and get spa treatments, take long showers, and relax with a book. Maybe I'll even go to a museum!
That sounds wonderful @freezorburn !! Enjoy yourself mama!!
My IMMS: We had a few nice weather days (well nice for March in the midwest anyways) last week. I realized that DS2 had literally three short-sleeved t-shirts that still fit him, no shorts, and no spring jacket. So we went shopping yesterday. He was a trooper and put up with Mommy dragging him from store to store & trying stuff on. By the end of the day he was pointing out shoes on the shelf that he wanted to try on. It was so cute. I may have caved and bought him two more pairs of sandals than I needed to because he was so cute trying them on!
I had to smile yesterday because I had instructed dh to hang the PUL items (covers and pockets) on the line to sun and to either put the cotton items (prefolds, etc) in the dryer or hang them on the line to sun as well while I was at work. I get home and he hung the PUL items on the towel rack on ds's door and had put some cotton items on the line and some in the dryer.
Then last night, I put ds in a sposie to make handprints for homemade thank you cards....it took all three of us to get the handprints done...dh to hold ds2, ds1 to switch out the note cards, and me to hold the hand with the paint on it. Some came out looking like handprints and some - well, lets just call them ds's artwork. While he was in the sposie, I kept thinking he was a difficult to hold as he is when he's naked since we've gotten used to having a fluffy bum to hold on to.

I have a bunch this week. Watching little man eat (or try to anyway) pancakes with mommy and daddy yesterday for the first time. Two nights of fully cloth and no leaks, my fears were unfounded hemp and bamboo kick pampers butt when it comes to absorbency. I planted my lettuce and spinach container garden and put it in the window. Finally my little guy wearing his St. Patrick's Day onsie with the monkey holding a four leaf clover, I can't get over how cute he looks and how happy my Grandma is to see the picture.
Well you'll love this --- I'm checked in to the hotel, unpacking my stuff and what do I find in my purse? A poopy diaper from daycare that I meant to take care of before leaving home! Woohoo! <:-P
I've been eating a ton of Girl Scout cookies and Easter candy, but it made me smile to step on the scale after missing a few weeks to see that I am only 1.5 lbs over my goal weight. It helps that L has been great going to the gym daycare twice a week so that I can get in a quick workout.
It made me smile so much that DS did fine at the church nursery yesterday! He went through a rough patch with separation anxiety the last time I tried to leave him in a nursery, so I had a lot of my own anxiety about trying it again. It was such a relief to see him playing happily and to hear that he asked for me a few times but was easy to distract before he got upset.
My mom saved a few cloth diapers from when I was a baby. She kept them with the christening gown, and there's a cute cover with "I'm a boy" embroidered on it. I can't wait to flaunt some vintage fluff. She also found my three month photo. M looks remarkably like me at that age.

My newest nephew arrived yesterday!! AND my sister decided to go cloth with this one (it's her 5th kid, but she never really thought about cloth until I had G). Now I just need to find someone to make some custom squish for him (since I don't know when LittleButts will reopen...)

I also put a cookie in with my husband's sandwich. He just texted me saying that was an odd first bite. He didn't notice the cookie!
