How Many Weeks Along Am I?

Ok here's a short run down, I found out that i was pregnant earlier today and i am wanting to see the development and due date of my baby. i ovulated two weeks ago and that's when we conceived. i have a 45 day cycle so my period wasn't two weeks prior to ovulation like doctors tend to predict when calculating the due date. Am i just two weeks along or am i really 4, still taking the two weeks into account although my period wasn't two weeks prior? hope this makes any sense! please let me know if any of you can help!

Re: How Many Weeks Along Am I?

  • If you know when you ovulated your due date would be 38 weeks from that day. The 40 weeks is calculated by adding in the "average" two weeks between LMP and ovulation but if your cycle is longer then that measurement wouldn't work for you.

  • You add two weeks to your ovulation date to get how many weeks you are. Most women don't know for sure when they ovulate so the average (CD14) is assumed and pregnancy is dated by LMP. If you were temping and know you ovulated 2 weeks ago you are 4 weeks pregnant. Congrats!

  • If you ovulated 2 weeks ago you would be 4 weeks pregnant now. You can find due date calendars on the internet that use the date of ovulation instead of LMP.
  • OK great!! Thank you so much!! :)
