K: so, it went a little something like this...
Checked into hospital at 8:30am today. Got monitored for an hour or two, started pitocin...things were fine.
They kept upping it to get things going...and things finally got a little intense around 2pm.
They checked me - 6cm.
Around 3:45pm I was having a tough time, and they checked again just after 4pm...9cm.
Couple more contractions and they told me to push.
Doc came in, and delivery was at @ 4:15pm.
9 lb 2 oz, 23 inches long BOY - and I did it my way, and without an epidural.
We think we have a name, but not confirmed...so I'll add that later when it's decided.
I'm tired and tired. But here's a pic.

ETA: we went to the hospital team green, with an agreed-upon girl's name, but no confirmed boy's name. Of course, we had a boy, so needed to hurry up and agree.
His name is Isaac, and for your trouble, here's a fresh pic of him from this morning.

3rd Tri Feelings
I applaud you for going pain-medfree, especially with pitocin!!!!
I kept hoping the ultrasounds were off, but I had a feeling they were pretty accurate.
(Last U/S was last Friday putting him at 8 lbs 3 oz, and he had been gaining about 1 lb 3-6 oz per 2 weeks, so that would put him at @9 lb estimate this week....pretty darned close for me)
But yikes!! 23 inches long!!! I had no idea. No wonder it felt so cramped in there and he couldn't flip himself over from breech.

Baby #3 Due 9-29-16
I wasn't sure I could do it, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
DS1's labour was 5 very intense hours, and no time for an epidural, so I hoped to do it again, despite the pitocin.
I feel awesome this morning btw!!
