Just wanted to share our birth story about our Baby Girl Stefani born Tue 3/11/14. My water broke early morning around 4am and got admitted at L&D at 4cm around 7am. The contractions were already really painful and opted for an epidural. I kept my mind open about pain medication and knew then I couldn't handle the later stage contractions. Around noon, I was surprised to hear I already dilated to 8cm which seemed like good news not having to experience long labor. The epi was tremendously effective with contractions although made pushing impossible. I pushed for about 2.5 hrs and unfortunately the doctor advised a c-section with the labor progress hardly going anywhere. I had really bad bleeding, swelling, and a tear. Soon enough, I was enduring 10cm contractions while waiting for more epi to kick in and went in the OR for the c-section. It was more a relief once the epi kicked in and I knew my baby would be out soon. During the c-section, they found out the baby was at OP / face up position which made my vaginal delivery nearly impossible. She was born 6:55p weighing 7-lb 3-oz measuring 21-inches. She was 2-days short of 38 weeks. We took prenatal classes, had an open mind about pain meds, had an slightly early, sudden baby arrival; hearing you need a last-minute c-section is scary and recovery is very painful...but grateful to be home with our new little angel. New addition to Team March, Team Pink. Congratulations and good luck to all the other ladies!!

And did anybody else read the title of this thread and pronounce her name like Gwen Stefani? Like in that Baby Mama movie?
