To me ALL birth is natural. There is a child coming out of you. I've always just said vaginally or section, med free or medicated.

However it's done it's natural. I hate when people are afraid to say the word vaginally because it makes them say vagina but are totally willing to ask if you've lost your mucus plug.

Checking in from the hospital; Mia, MH and I are all doing wonderfully. May have re-fractured my pelvis during delivery, but more on that when I can get to my computer in a few days. Just wanted to tell y'all the end is in sight! You can do it, zen mamas!

Going to join you ladies if that's ok. 40+6 today. Was managing to stay pretty Zen and was happy to let her come when she was ready but finding it tough to stay laid back. Having cramps and odd contraction (3-4 a day). Baby was measuring relatively big at our 36 week scan so going back in for a growth scan tomorrow to see if induction is safe or if we'll require a C-section. Doc says by next Tuesday we'll have a baby, but I just can't decide if I should try to get baby to come out on her own (and be prepared to be disappointed) or if I should just enjoy these last few days and let the doctor do their thing. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I think some of the labor vibes came my way... Pretty sure my water broke! Heading to l&d to get checked in a little while.... Contractions are few and far between but strong when they happen so I am waiting a little while before I go. Send me good vibes!

I hope it wasn't me that said natural instead of med free. I learned that distinction when I started coming to the bump and have always tried to say me free since. It was never malicious that I thought that way though, maybe naive or ignorant.

As for me I've wen dreaming if and then woke with a few crampy contractions. Since being up they appear to have stopped and I'm left dealing with the congestion am sore throat that has been plaguing me for months. So annoying! I ate a Popsicle and I'm waiting or my tea to cool a little. My anxiety about labor seems to have simmered down. I got way ahead of myself and was spiraling with worry about the lack of control. But if I can just remember to stay in the present moment like I do with all my worries, I'll be okay. Agh middle of the night rumblings.

Hey ladies, wanted to let you know that my water just broke. No labor yet, but my midwives give me 24 hours to go into labor on my own before inducing, and don't require me to come into the hospital right away (just got off the phone with them). So I am going to be chilling at home, taking a shower, bouncing on my yoga ball, all those good things, but I do NOT think I will be bumping!

I will see you on the flip side one way or another. :-)

I've woken a few times with crampy ? contractions, nothing regular so I'll just go to my appt and see what she says. I'm still not convinced they're not related to the steak and cheese I had yesterday. Haha.

I'm 40 weeks today and cringe at the thought of going any farther. I didn't go into work yesterday hoping my contractions were going to stick around and being LO out, but they stalled and I know I'll get some crazy "what are you doing here" looks.

I'm scheduling to be induced at my appointment this morning, so at least I'll have an end in sight now. Maybe threatening her with induction will make her come out?? I can dream. Lol

I am so tired. I slept pretty well from 12:30-6, only got up once. Then the nausea and aches set in. No fever, no raw throat, so it's not flu, just the end of pregnancy kicking my ass. Soooooo sleepy right now.

What's the name of that Sarah McLaughlan song? It starts "I'm so tired, but I can't sleep..." Yeah, that's me.

As for me and my womb...we got the sex last night and boom! MP lost. Pretty sure this tiny glimmer of hope is a huge deal for the girl with the ironclad cervix!

Exciting morning! Good luck to all the ladies at different stages of labor today.

I have my first NST this morning and have no idea what to expect. Glad I was able to schedule it for first thing so I am not waiting around worrying.

Must remain zen. Appt went well. Just not ready to have a baby yet. Scheduled NST, BPP, and regular appt for next week. Don't know whether to rest because I was up with contractions all night or walk and try to get things moving more.
Is anyone still working while having contractions? I'm gonna show up tomorrow because I don't want to start my maternity leave and if I have to I'll leave in regular sick time. That will buy me til Tuesday atleast.

This is me today too . I have decided to take the advice of some of the other ladies and make some special plans that are keeping me zenlike for now. I'm getting a mani/pedi this weekend with some girlfriends and then going to see Bad Words, and then the hubs and I are going to make sure that every EVERYTHING is done in preparation for baby, DTD without the hope of bringing on contractions (so much pressure for him, LOL), watch a movie with the other kiddos, have a nice quiet dinner, and just enjoy the whole Last-Weekend-Without-Baby. Of course, if I'm still pregnant this time next week, there will be hell to pay.

I have lost all my zen today after finding out that 2 friends due after me just had their babies and here I sit less then 20 hrs from being induced at 41 weeks having dealt with irregular contractions for a week that have done nothing. Too bad too cause I woke up feeling more zen like then I had all week but now it's gone.

Congrats to everyone in labor/having babies!  The tribe of us with inside babies is shrinking!  But that can only be a good sign for us all...

Trying to be zen, but with MIL showing up tomorrow, it's going to be hard.  I'm very unmotivated to clean the house (does no instinct to nest = no baby anytime soon??).  

I have a doctor appt tomorrow morning and am curious to the state of things and if tomorrow we will schedule an eviction date or if I can have that put off another week.  We'll see....

This membrane sweep is such a cruel mind trick. Right now I'm crampy and my back hurts and so does my upper thighs ... And I keep getting a sharper cramp but it's mild so I don't know whether to even time them because I can't even tell when they start.

Am I going to be the person who gives birth on the toilet?? haha

Hey, I'm really out of it today, but quick update: no labor yet. Induction scheduled for 7:15 tomorrow unless it starts on its own first. Baby was a superstar on his NST. :-)

Survived work today! Although I may have had to take a moment of zen in the staff bathroom when one of my students (who is taller than me and significantly outweighs me) was mad and pooped his pants because he "wanted attention". He proceeded to eat it, wipe it on my floor and walls, put it on his clothes and in his hair...

On the positive side, no matter what type of poop nightmare I encounter with our LO at least she is not the size of a full grown man.

Thanks for all the positive vibes ladies! You truly helped me stay calm these last few weeks! Baby Camden Andrew Meyers was born at 10:04 am after my water broke at 1:45 am. He is 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 3/4 in long. Will post my story later. Sending you all my positive new mom love and labor vibes!

Good luck ladies heading for induction or having contractions.

I am not zen today!  Had my appt this morning: still way high, soft, and .5 dilated!  Did my pre-op for c-section next Friday.  That was depressing!  MH pissed me off a few times.  And now we have decided that we should both go back to work tomorrow, so that we aren't burning up all our time off!!  

Tomorrow will be better, right?

Plus I got a gel manicure last week.  The lady said it would last 2 weeks, I thought perfect my nails won't look like shit in pics.  It is peeling off already!  No big deal really just annoying.

Searching for my zen. This is more of a dear diary vent. I'm not asking for medical advice. I Woke with mild irregular contractions overnight and this morning. Also bloody mucous this am. Went to the doc for my reg appt who said slightly softening, slightly thinning, just about a cm dilated. Told me she expected to see me next week at my next appt. I came home and had mild irregular contractions all day. Now they are picking up in frequency and intensity but I feel stupid going in now because she seemed so sure I wasn't going anywhere. MH and I are just staring at each other. I keep just expecting the contractions to disappear.

That exact same story happened to my mother and she have birth to me that night. Go w your gut.

We've been timing them. 4 minutes apart, only a couple have been a minute long and the intensity is different each time.

Baby was super quiet yesterday and is usually ridiculously active so we went into L&D last night. All fine (thank god) but really tough going home when the other moms were being admitted. No contractions for 24 hours either. Think she's settled back in for another 9 months!!
