Tearful and stressed

Sorry just a rant. We got our tax bill today and need to pay in quit a bit. DH and I got into an argument about it and he finally informed me that I would not be able to take my full maturnity leave. His mother in town and I had to fight back tears and anger in front of her while I feel my mommy dreams are flushed down the toilet. I feel cheated, angry, resentful and depressed.

augh I'm sorry I've been dealing with the same type of thing. money's been awful and there's nothing I want more then to work less when baby comes but it's impossible. we were trying to buy a house too because two of us can barely function in our apartment and my husbands credit which I thought was straightened out apparently
hasn't gotten any better which doesn't makes me happy either ! stress.....

So sorry you're going through this. If it helps, you're not the only person struggling so you're not alone. My DH is being made redundant 3 weeks before baby is due and he's having a really hard time finding a new job. It's so unfair. They're moving his team to an office 3 hours away, just so it's nearer to the new CEO's house, which means they have to let 9 people go. Of course my income will go way down from may, so we might end up becoming the family charity case at this rate.

I'm sorry.  Going back to work is hard no matter how much time you take.  You just have to remember that you are doing what is best for your family.  It does get a little easier as the weeks go by.  Whenever you do go back the best advice I got was not to go back during a full week.  Make your first day a Wednesday or Thursday so you only have a couple of days until your first weekend.
