Declan?

DH and I really struggle with both liking the same boy name, but right now (for this week haha) like Declan.
What do you think of the name?
What middle names go with it?
Our last name starts with L and our DS name is Patrick Joseph. Thanks for all the input!

I think it goes well with Patrick but I don't personally like the name. Sounds as if you prefer Irish names? What about Sullivan?

Love it! It's very Irish to me and I'm from a different culture background, so I don't feel that it would quite fit for our family, but it's a wonderful name and obviously Irish names aren't an issue for you since your DS is Patrick I think that makes a great sibset as well!

Love Declan. It's on our boys list. Love Irish names. My DS is Nolan. 

Declan Charles would be my choice. Sounds great together.

I also don't see the appeal of Declan, but does fit my criteria for a decent name...which is mostly that it isn't made up. I think the name was ruined for me when Andy Sandburg did a character named Declan on SNL.

LOL, a Vietnamese boy in DD's class is named Declan. It's such a culture clash, but it sort of fits him

I LOVE Patrick, but don't care for Declan. I think they're too different to work together. I'm sorry.

I have a Declan. I obviously love it. Patrick is Irish, so I think they're great together. DS's middle name is Grey.

I think Patrick and Declan make an okay sib set. I don't really care for Declan though. It sounds clunky to me.

One of my least favorite boy names EVER!  I'm sorry, but I think it's awful.  I think it is not at all cute for a little baby/ boy, and not a good, strong man name.  But judging on the other responses, I am in the minority.
