Hi ladies! Our DS turned one last week and we are in the early stages of TTC #2. Before DS, I had 2 m/c and 2 failed IUI's. I got 7 eggs at ER but nothing fertilized and they had to do rescue ICSI which somehow magically worked. I had basically a WTF appt this month to ask "Why did everything go wrong last time and yet we got a kid ... and how will we do it this time?" We're planning on the same antagonist cycle but with a higher dose and ICSI on day one.

I'm surprised at how stressful this is even the second time around. I almost cried when I was getting ready for the mock transfer/saline sono this week because I just don't want to deal with it. We are lucky enough to have 1 more insurance covered cycle, but we can't afford to go on after that so this is our last shot. I feel guilty and selfish for feeling not "done" and robbed of the decision of how to space any potential sibling out because I feel like I'm racing time on a body that wasn't working right even when I was younger.

But overall I really try not to be a negative Nelly. :)  Really! I look forward to getting to know you all and am glad this board is here!

    Hi, what exactly is your DX? Is there a reason you can't try on your own and you have to do IVF? 


    Good luck. That's really great your IVF cycle worked. I'm planning on starting my 3rd IVF cycle pretty soon. The 2nd cycle was an ectopic pregnancy, so I am really hoping 3rd time is a charm.

    I'm confused ... I can't tell if the CheesyPeas response is to me or if it's just in a sig file. If it's to me, I'm sorry to offend, I seriously didn't mean to.

    To the others, I was originally dx with unexplained but after we had the 0 eggs fertilize they said it was probably my eggs since all the sperm tests came back fine. They think my lousy eggs are able to be fertilized (though not easily ... only 2 pregnancies in 3 years ended in m/c) and my good eggs are wearing body armor.
