I am waiting for a response on something at work today and in a holding pattern (yay for consultant terms) so I am on here more than I should be.

Any one else have something that doesn't fit into FFFC?

I just got an email that we didn't get passes to the White House egg roll. It is a lottery and we didn't get picked. I know L is still a little young for this, but I am irrationally mad that out of 5 time slots we didn't get 1. Boo!

I'm starving. Does that count? I have eaten all the food I brought, once again, and am debating if it's worth trying to make popcorn (and not burn it this time) or if I should just save those calories for dinner. And I didn't get out for a lunch-time walk today because there has been too much going on at the office, so that makes me kind of grouchy.

We have a communal office air popper thing and someone made popcorn.  It's so salty my lips actually hurt and I probably won't be able to button my pants tomorrow, but it was delicious.  Go make it!

I need to keep a pair of flats at the office so I can walk around during lunch. I have recently realized that I need a few minutes away and bathroom breaks are not long enough. Plus, I my Fitbit thinks I suck.

Some shit went down, and we are broke. Broke broke broke. C will probably be kicked out of daycare next week because we can't pay. I've been watching 2 extra kids full time, am trying to find another job on top of everything, and we are still struggling.

I had to ask friends for tampons because we are in negative amounts of money right now. That's how fun this is. Not looking for pity, it is what it is - just getting it out there, and explaining some of my absence as of late!

After my vent in the random thread earlier this week, I worked my ass off the last 2 days and caught up at work, finished a couple big looming projects, and sort of melted down to DH. He stared to pick up some slack and threw me a bone for some internal company work that he really should give to someone else.

I feel a lot better today.

Yes. There is not a whole lot of places to 'hide' eggs on the White House lawn, so they do an Easter egg roll. It is cute and I was hoping to be a part of it this year. of well!

I have Pumas under my desk. I just didn't get a break. I just got out of yet another meeting and haven't even gotten to the popcorn yet. I'm getting hangry.

So sorry to hear this. We're in a similar situation, but not quite as bad. We're in the process of selling a bunch of "luxury" items to pay for a new engine for DH's car. Hope things turn around for you quickly.

DH keeps going in to work on Saturdays to calibrate things. That was what he did before he got promoted to branch manager. Now he goes in for fun so he can stay up to date on everything. Every Saturday. No pay. Gone for 12+ hours. I'm starting to take it personally. It makes me really sad, and I'm sure it shouldn't.

One of my good friends works for the PR firm that puts on this event (and a lot of other White House events).  I am always so jealous that he gets to go every year.  Of course, he is a single 35 year old guy, so it is probably not as exciting for him, put the pics he puts on FB are just to cute!

ETA: I hope you get passes one of these years, sounds like so much fun!

My dh has been out of work since Monday. He fell on some ice and hurt his hand and got a minor concussion. The X-ray showed nothing broken in his hand but he is in a ton of pain so he needs to see a specialist. He is on Percocet so can't drive, can't lift or pick up anything and can only change colbys diaper on the floor, where he hates to be changed. It's been a challenging week.

I haven't really talked about this much on here, but keagan had. Speech therapy eval yesterday. He still isn't making some sounds (s, r, th) the eval went amazing. He cooperated, and is really such a bright kid. I was so proud of him. The therapist kept saying things to me like "these are really hard sounds that sometimes take kids longer to grow I to" I don't think he is going to qualify for services and I'm frustrated because I really don't think that the sounds he is making are appropriate for his age. I have a meeting next Friday to discuss the results.

@holly_1007 Good luck with everything. If he doesn't qualify, make sure to ask for tips on how to work with him at home.

DH is at work this morning for god knows how long. I hate wen they upgrade their systems at work because they don't trust many people to oversee it - so DH it is. 

L and I went to Little Gym this morning and I forgot my phone, so no pics today. It has only been since after Christmas and L is already almost doing somersaults on her own. She gets in position and just needs the slightest push to get over. Then she jumps up and starts clapping for herself. It is adorable.

Also, we went to pick up our CSA box afterwards and she always goes to check out the chickens and roosters. Now when the roosters crow, she crows back at them. I totally need to capture it on video next week. 

The best part is, our box this week has red potatoes, onions, carrots, and cabbage (among other things). All I need is the corned beef and we are good to go. Yum!
