Taking a shower

My 6 month old seemingly does not want me to take a shower!  I used to put him in his rocker/napper bassinet type thing in the bathroom with me and he would contentedly play with the toys hanging from it while I was showering.  Now as soon as I get in the shower, he starts crying.  I don't know if it's because he can't see me or if he doesn't like the noise of the shower.  As soon as I get out and pull the bassinet back into the bedroom, he starts playing with the toys again, happy as a clam.  Anyone else experiencing something like this?  I would just love to take a shower in peace and quiet.  My husband works long hours, and I'll try to shower before he goes to work so he can keep the baby occupied, but this doesn't always work.

Is there any reason you can't leave him in his crib for a few minutes?  My LO will happily babble to herself in her crib for 15 or so minutes at a time, particularly just after eating.  Or shower while he's napping?  Those are my go-tos.

This. As long as LO is not fussing, I dont see a problem with sneaking in a quick shower while he plays in his crib. If that doesnt work, I also would aim for naptime.

It could very well be because he can't see you anymore. I either put LO in her chair in the bathroom or in her crib to watch her mobile. If she's in her chair and starts fussing sometimes I'll play peek a boo with her from the shower while I finish up and that works. Sometimes I just have to let her fuss while I shower and I try to be quick.

Leave LO right outside the door with the door open. Also I bring LO in the shower with me she sits in her tub and splashes and then I bath her or just put her under the running water.

I don't know how early your LO wakes up, but I get up before my DD does, and shower and get myself ready.  It helps me feel good making sure I am taken care of first, and then I can focus on my daughter for the rest of the day.
