@Sisimama10‌ we have been "testing" LO humidifier. It has stars that project on the ceiling and really I just like it!

My confession: I pretend not to know anything about cars so I don't have to take care of it. Plus I think it makes H feel manly when I tell him I need him for car related issues

In school today, I am sticking my kids on the computer and shutting downnnnnnnnnnnn. Justifying it by telling myself they have worked hard all week and as the day goes on they focus less because it is Friday.

Yesterday, I worked from home because I have the worst cold ever.  The coughing is giving me contractions and I pulled a muscle in my stomach from coughing so hard and my sinuses are making my teeth hurt.  Anyways, I slept most of the day instead of working.

Confession I kind of intend to do the same thing today.  2 weeks until I stop working.  I can make it and hopefully this cold from hell ends at some point.

I pretend it's not bothering me but I am probably going to legitimately lose my shit and get fired if one more person in my office informs me that I've definitely dropped and that I'm going to have this baby really soon. As a FTM with pretty bad anxiety to begin with, having the baby early is one of my biggest fears. Every time they bring it up I get panicky. Granted it probably wouldn't be catastrophically early at this point but I'm at the very end of the April caboose. This kid isn't ready yet.
Also, sometimes when I'm having a tough pregnancy day I really wish I could just change my mind about this whole thing. Not that I don't 100% want this baby but I question the decision to get pregnant even though there was no way we could have known how different our financial situation would be now from when I actually got pregnant.

DH has been staining the wood floor in the nursery and the fumes are pretty bad in the house. This morning when I left for work, I turned the heat off and opened the windows. He's probably freezing right now but I don't feel bad about it one bit.

Oh and I saw a blog (or twitter post?) about a woman going through her home birth. In one of the posts she was in the bathtub, having a whiskey sour while laboring. I would be lying if I said I didn't considering doing the same but with a jackhoney and coke. However, even though I'll be laboring at home, I'll still be giving birth in a hospital so for fear of them checking my BAL and take my kids away for showing up drunk, I'm not going to do it.

Going off yesterday's UO... I am totally bringing make-up to the hospital. Nothing too crazy just mascara, liner, and tinted moisturizer. I haven't seen DH in 5 months and won't see him for another 5ish so I want the first picture he's sees of his wife and new baby to look decent.

@Lindsay808 I hold conversations with my pup too. I once asked if she liked the new curtains I hung. Hah!

When my hospital induction failed last time, the nurse is the one who told me to go home and have a glass of wine and hot bath. I didn't at that point for the same reason!

I mentioned thus in yesterdays UO thread but… I selfishly wish one of my friends lived closer. While I avoid going out to dinner with her and her DH because she drives me crazy (must "one-up" everything anyone else says) she is a cosmetologist and is wicked good at doing my hair and make-up! I will sit and listen to her crap for hours if it means I get my hair and make-up done!

Even though i am a STM, (it has been less than a year since i had a newborn) i do not remember how to care for a newborn. I have been trying to look at some books to refresh my memory. I hope it all comes back to me.
BTW newborns poop 8-10 times a day!

I had half a glass of champagne with an appetizer at a happy hour yesterday. I would've had the whole glass, but the bubbles made me too bloated. Because of the bloat, I came home and decided to skip dinner and have chocolate cake instead.

I hate having to make dietary substitutions for ADULTS at potlucks. Now, kids I can understand, but this is an adult bday party for which I was going to bake a fabulous chocolate cake (aka the one that I've been craving and gets fully eaten within an hour of cutting it).

Now I'm making Rice Krispie/Fruity Pebbles bars because a few of the guests don't eat gluten. I know for a fact that two of them are NOT celiac, and do it as part of a diet. I also got asked if I could swap out the butter "just in case someone has a lactose intolerance". No. I'm not going potentially mess up the entire thing by substituting one of the two non-cereal ingredients.

Also, I'm still making a gluten filled chocolate cake for myself tomorrow and it's going to be fucking AWESOME.

In our household, we also give our dog a distinct voice and she calls everybody "bitch" because she's a bitch, so she thinks it's OK.

I'm opposite. But my left boob has always been a little bigger. Woke up this morning with four milk stains on my left side and two on my right. And then there was one or two in an ambiguous middle section of my shirt...milks going everywhere!

DS is still in our bed by 11pm-2am every night. I have no resolve at night and actually sleep better once he's there. No idea what we're going to do when baby comes. We're probably going to wing it and I bet I'll be whining about the transition when the time comes.

In other bad sleeper news, it was my BFF's first night home with her newborn. She called me panicking because he wouldn't sleep and just wanted to be on the boob. I told her to get naked, put him skin to skin and just hang out and nurse. Her milk came in this morning after nursing all night and following my advice... I feel like pretty bad ass baby whisperer right now ;-).

It annoys the mess out of me when my baby gets the hiccups! Never once have I thought it was cute. The first time it happened, I was like, "Oh, maybe these are hiccups! Neat!" But then I was over it. She's head down, so it just honestly feels like my butthole is having spasms. Sorry if TMI, but seriously. :-w

I LOVE cadbury cream eggs. I bought two boxes of five, one for me and one for SO. But he didn't eat his. So I've eaten 7 this week. Trying to space them out between girl scout cookies and ice cream.

In one of my classes today the students told me they had a science test to review for. I gave them five minutes at the end of class to review their notes. They asked me to lookup an answer to the question: What particles float around a nucleus?

I have no idea so I looked online. I clicked what I thought was a reliable website and when I clicked on the website the answer came up us: Chuck Norris' ballsack.

All my students saw. OOPS.

I tell my husband I ate dinner and "real meals" when in reality I go to DQ and get cheese curds and a blizzard.

Also, the McDonalds near my work doesn't have Shamrock Shakes, but has signs up for them and has them on the menu. I'm writing a letter to complain, because it makes me THAT angry. And they didn't run out, because I've been checking regularly and they haven't had them at all...
