I saw her speak at the AANE conference last fall. She's good. It's interesting to see how her views were affected by her ToM deficits and have subsequently evolved.
To your point, auntie, she really does get around and is apparently quite generous with her time. A colleague of mine's sister works at a local community college and once asked her to come speak there. Dr. Grandin replied no at first, but then was convinced to come after hearing how unique the ASD population is in this area. She only required travel expenses. I'm the fool who didn't accept the offer of a free ticket to hear her speak. DS had been diagnosed only a month earlier and I just wasn't there yet.
Yeah, I would love to hear MGW speak as well. Havent heard of her coming to our neck of the woods, though. I believe she is based out of Northern Cali? Hopefully, she'll come down at some point. Thank goodness our SLP values her work and incorporates it into sessions.
