Face wash

What face wash do you use? I always used MK but switched bc my face started breaking out so badly. So then I tried oil of olay, neutrogena, clean and clear, and proactive,a I'm still broke out. I feel like nothing is working for me. I never had this many problems before. I have sensitive, oily skin. What would you recommend? TIA!

Re: Face wash

  • I use a Clean 'n Clear sensitive day and night and St. Ives apricot scrub twice a week. I've done this since I was about 12 and I've never had bad skin.

  • Cetaphil is good for sensitive skin.

I've never heard of half of these products! What's OCM? It's too early lol

This is what I use too. Love how my skin feels. OCM stands for oil cleansing method. I don't know how to paste a link on my kindle. I got my info from practicingparenthood.com blog.

  • I love origina frothy face wash!

  • I've used Neutrogena oil free acne wash for years and years. I only wash my face at night, though. In the morning, I just splash water on it and rub gently to wake myself up.

  • I use philosophy purity. Love it

  • I use aveda but I don't know that I'd recommend it for oily skin. Its kind of an oily cleanser that leaves your face really soft.

  • I just use plain old bar soap and water. It seems like anything else makes me break out, or doesn't get the make-up off well enough.
But now reading these responses I kind of want some fancy face wash again :)

  • Just a warning- the more you switch the more you will break out. It can take a couple weeks of using a new product for your skin to adjust. Try to debut a new wash on the weekend and go make up free to let your pores breathe. Good luck!

Thanks. I always try a new product for at least a month before giving it the boot. That way I give it a fair try. Ever since DD, every period has been 2-3 weeks late. I'm thinking I'm so broken out bc obviously my hormones are a little whacko.
  • I use Philosophy Purity and the Microdelivery exfoliation wash.
  • I have sensitive/combination oily skin.  I was breaking out horribly on my chin a while back. Saw a dermatologist.  He said, "stop overusing products.  Dove bar cleanser, and oil free moisturizer. Then stop!" It totally cleared me up.  No expensive products here but I do use MK moisturizer. GL!
