LO crying at daycare

LO is 19 weeks and I am returing to work next week ( in 10 days). She's been going to neighbor's house for a shared nanny. She did ok some cries but not too much, mostly I was there to reduce shock.  Now I have been trying leaving her there and everytime she cries. Not when I'm leaving but after I'm gone. Nanny tells me that she cries hard for hours and barely eats. Yesterday from 9 to 3 she ate 6oz.  I don't think she is too young for daycare/nanny but my heart breaks everytime I pick her up and see she's been crying. Any advice on how to help her adjust? Is it too early for me to return to work? Would she get better later or the same no matter when?

The nanny says she tried everything from holding her, playing with her, offering bottle etc. I will try the scarf. I know many moms have returned to work earlier. May be I should have started nanny earlier before she could recognize faces and have prefereces. Thank you sing2phins. I just hope she will adjust soon.
