UPDATED Ive been at L&D (long)

UPDATE: finally got some pain under control. Periantologist thinks its a stone and has me cutting back on IVs and now on oral meds. He said baby looks great and they will monitor me today. He doesnt see any reason why we would need to deliver baby now. Great news. If pain can be managed with oral meds I can go home. I so do miss my little guy. Thanks ladies for your support.

So yesterday afternoon my kidney pain came back and I was sent to L&D. Ive been in pain for over 24 hours and they finally upped my meds. The urologist came to see me and said could be kidney infection or small stone.

Ive been admitted and since pain control has been hard to manage my dr wants to meet with a periantologist to discuss next steps. If they cant get pain under control they will have to deliver baby. Tomorrow will be 35 weeks. Same as when DS 1 was born. I really wanted a different experience this time. Please pray its a stone that I can pass on my own so baby can cook longer. I want to avoid the nicu at all costs.

    I am sorry you're in so much pain and I hope you can pass that stone and hang onto baby for a bit longer. Where I work sometimes they only put babies in NICU for 24h and then observe them rooming in with mom for another 48h once they are 35 weeks if there are no complications. Fx that if you deliver this week you get an experience like that at least.

March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    I hope the pain stops and I know how you feel about the nicu but at 35 weeks they are there to grow and feed that's it. But perhaps this is the way this pregnancy was supposed to end for some reason.

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    Failed multiple cycles of Clomid+TI and Clomid+IUI

    3/2011 inj+IUI #1 BFP. 4/2011 missed m/c. 

    Fall 2011 inj+IUI #2&3 BFN

    Jan/Feb 2012 IVF#1 BFP 2/23  EDD 10/31/2012 ~~~ Halloween ~~~

    Glad that your most recent update says you've gotten the pain under control! Stones are the worst, but even worse in this situation! GL keeping that baby in there!

    Nov 2012: Little buddy born in Kenya
    Nov 2013: Trying for a second, still w PCOS
    Dec 2013: IUI cycle canceled for non-response
    Jan 2014: Break cycle BFP!
