  • I have, but G's never been super sick like that... I think if it ever got to the point that I couldn't keep up with the dirty diapers (or couldn't handle spraying again), I wouldn't feel bad about using disposables. I'd probably also use a cover over them to mitigate blowouts, though ;)

  • We haven't had diarrhea since LO started solids, so it was definitely no big deal previously.  I can't imagine switching even now.  Sure it'd mean extra scraping of diapers, but in my mind that's better than using disposables!

  • Yeah, I think the only time he had diarrhea it didn't occur to me to use disposables. I wasn't in the habit of keeping them around until our current daycare forces me to bring them. And by the time I realized that LO was having gut issues, I didn't really feel like running out for a pack. I just switched over to prefolds for the day since they are easier to clean off.
  • We stayed with cloth for diarrhea because there would be poop everywhere with disposables. But we did use disposable liners anyway bc DS's poop has always been loose.

We learned the hard way to use disposables when he was on antibiotics. I never want to fight the yeast monster ever again.

    Probiotics.
Not sure if you are thinking the dipes cause the yeast, or if you don't want to worry about getting yeast in the dipes. But probiotics should prevent the situation.

  • DS had it for a week once, going 10 x a day, waking in the middle of the night. He blew out a couple of disposables getting it on his high chair and the carpet. Cloth ATW. I bought liners so I could use stronger diaper cream becaise his poor butt was RAW.

Doesn't seem that much different than newborn poo to me. Cloth contains that stuff way better than disposables IMO. I would not switch.
